Skyrim for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?

Post » Tue Jun 24, 2014 11:00 pm

Who else agrees that Skyrim should be remastered or the new-gen consoles? I can only speak for some but I would dish out full price for the game again. What are your suggestions and opinions on how and if this happened?

We all might be aware of Playstation Now but no one wants to pay $60 to stream a game for only 90 days.

Please do not come here to post if you are one of those cocky PC gamers :brokencomputer:

No. There is no need to release it for the new consoles.

Bethesda have never done such a thing before and I can't see them doing so for Skyrim. They've already shifted focus to their next game.

I'd rather have a new game than an old game with some new shiny effects.

Plus, this topic is brought up at least once a week, general consensus seems to be that there's not a great deal of point.

No it shouldn't be and luckily that is not a Bethesda norm. I would much rather have then focus on TES VI and hopefully with the new technology of this new generation of consoles and lessons learned, make a vastly superior game. Time will tell.

Well, what about the folks that don't have their last-gen consoles? I enjoyed the game on my Xbox 360 but I hated the feel of PS3 controllers. I had to sell both to buy my PS4 but I miss Skyrim so much :sadvaultboy:

Very true. In my opinion ESO is going to be a huge failure so I am only hoping this happens.. Either that or the new :fallout: comes soon :D

Actually, Bethesda Game Studios has nothing to do with ESO. So, it's success or failure has no bearing on the next BGS game.

And yeah, it'll be Fallout 4 next, then TES6 a couple years after that.

Save your money and buy an older console or get it for PC.

They make the best and obvious choice by buying the PC version. Legendary Edition just was on sale for ~10€ on Steam.

And no, you really really REALLY don't need powerful rig to run it maxed out.

That was why I bought a PS3 and I hate the feel of the controller. They are coming out with several remastered games for the current-fen so Skyrim wouldn't be a too shabby idea

Skyrim is done for 360, PS3, PC and any other consoles. Get over it.

Well, thank you "Head Bethesda Developer" I don't think you make any decisions on any games. There are forums for a reason.

I rather move on and get fallout 4 and then an elder scrolls valenwood or blackmarsh.

Except Bethesda themselves said they were moving on.

But he's right. Bethesda is finished with this game. They've announced it. It's done. Over. The fork has been stuck into the potato.

Bethesda has been making games since 1986. Not once in all that time have they ever ported a game to next-gen hardware. And I just don't see them changing this pattern in the future either.
