skyrim for Ps3 Idea

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 11:51 pm

I don't know if this has been confirmed or is even going to be an option in the game, but I was thinking the Skyrim with playstation move as an option would be kick ass. On your left hand you would have the navigation controller to navigate the character, block with shield and any other uses. On the right hand you would have the move controller to control the right hand which is the sword, staff, and the bow. Camera can be used to track slight body movement for quick dodges. Just an idea that I thought of, that might be a cool add-on to the game. What do you guys think?

No. And the Move is selling horribly which is yet another reason why this would be a waste of time.

Already confirmed as "Not gonna happen". I do think it is a better option then the Kinect (I heard it is much more accurate, plus having some actual buttons and an anolog stick would be much more convenient), but it merely isn't happening. In fact, you have a better chance of seeing it used with Kinect seeing how people have hacked the Kinect and made it PC compatible. A semi complicated program later and you have PC Skyrim with Kinect.

No,the move is the silliest looking thing in the world. The frank way of putting it is motion control adds nothing to gaming that is not already there. It might almost be as useless as the HDD for the PS2.

I was working at a pretty big retailer as an electronics manager when it came out. From my experience both sold horribly. They basically went the way of the Dreamcast. Good idea, bad launch titles.

Kinect is selling way good (already went beyond 10 million a long time back) though. Microsoft knows how to market that is for damn sure. Sony should take some notes. Anyways, yeah neither Kinect or Move will have support.

it didn't sell 10 million because Microsoft are brilliant at marketing. It sold 10 million because people are buying them just to hack them. People are buying them for their PC's. Sadly the kinect doesn't seem to have much going for it on the xbox with a weak supporting lineup. The moves lineup is much better but also doesn't warrant the high price tag yet. Move support would convince me to buy Skyrim for PS3 but if its a no go I'll stick to PC with its endless supply of free mods.

You use both hands, dual wielding/whatnot. Programming that would take up considerable time. There's another topic in this vein on the front page. My real arguments against this are in there, and I see no reason to re-post them here so I'll sum it up: "Blahblahblahblah, bad idea."

To the guys who are saying flat out no - is your knowledge based on something newer than the podcast on GI where the dev said most likely no, but maybe later on

Then he quoted dumb & dumber "so you're saying there's a chance". made me lol

Not exactly so. The Xbox bundled with the Kincect is far outselling PS3's bundled with Move.
