Skyrim for PSVITA?

Post » Thu Jun 30, 2011 3:55 pm

Bethesda is not into gimmicks like gyroscopic's and touchscreen garbage. What don't we just have them do a kinect game and call it a day  . Sony has sold me one too many times on overpriced crap,I don't need move and I don't need a handheld. Why even play TES on a handheld, when its the type of game you sink hours into. Not the kind of game you play on a plane or whatever people do with handhelds.

The whole audience moaned like someone had killed their cat, after the AT&T announcement. That's the first ever recorded press unison grown at E3. Go watch it,its kinda funny yet sad.

Why is that a problem? No one plays a handheld game for it's HD graphics.

I mean it's still a bad idea. No one plays a handheld game for an epic RPG either(well they do actually, which makes me wonder if they ever take their handhelds anywhere), but still

Because it was commented that the graphics wouldn't suffer, which they would, greatly.

AT&T being the living euphony of over priced garbage that barely works.

AT&T is just a service.
It has nothing to do with the product pricing, especially when there's a version available without.

After they finished Skyrim they should maybe do a port to PS VITA ....

My opinion is like Meh.... still i don't know if it's gonna be a good port since PS VITA only got 256 MB Ram

It won't if they make a special port for it....

Other than the RAM, the new handheld could likely handle Skyrim. The question is:

Will Skyrim be on the http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/713605/wii-u-release-date-may-have-been-revealed-by-sega-exec/?

The only game i would love on something like PSV is either Grand theft auto or puzzle games.

"hardcoe" games are really not good for a portable platform.
I mean, imagine playing something like mass effect on the bus; all the people talking and random noise would probably detract from any possible immersion.

Not only that but bus rides/train rides don't usually last that long. And if you use a PSV while sitting on a couch or while in your bed you are really missing the point of a "portable" device.

The only place i could imagine i would use a PSV besides public transportation would be while in those hour-long breaks on campus.

Me too, because of the likely price. It is more powerful than the PS3/360 though and Wii U does need big titles.

Considering EA is on board with the Wii U, as well as other big companies, I don't think it's going to be hurting for big titles.

And Skyrim will likely be able to run a lot better on the Wii U than it will on the 360 or PS3 due to better hardware.

The wii U's hardware probably isn't going to be a huge leap forward (next gen) probably better or similar to the ps3

The rumored specs I've seen so far would suggest otherwise. Unless it's just wishful thinking.

The Wii U is just and addition to the Wii its not an seperate system so the hardware are exactly the same as Wii concerning any games for it. But Nintendo has stated that it is not their "next gen" platform its just to fill a gap and bring in a different audience for the one in development.

I'd buy the psvita before an wii u and it must be wishful thinking to actually believe it'll be a leap forward from the ps3 and xbox 360, if you want some more info I'M me please I'll enlighten you guys.

Ok also psvita isn't over priced, I'm not even a Sony dic Ryder and I understand the price, we just have a bunch big headed punk azz console or brand name haters now n days who just want to be dogmactic towards almost everything that is usually new. Psvita is around the same price if not is the same price as the nintendo 3ds. It might have even been the same price as the psp when it first came out.

Also I don't think Skyrim would work well on PSVIta or Wii U.

Tl;dr READ YOU MIGHT LEARN SOMETHING.

He is indeed mistaken. The Wii U is Nintendo's next gen console. It's supposed to be more powerful than the PS3 and 360 but not by a huge amount, which of course means the PS4 and next Xbox will crush it graphically yet again.

Anyways, to those saying that the Vita couldn't handle it. You're likely incorrect. Sure the ram is only 256 MB, but you forget that the Vita runs on a rather small screen and thus the models and textures don't need to be as detailed to look as good.

It's probably very possible to port Skyrim to the Vita. Also, the game can handle all the same controls as the PS3 and 360 controllers so controls are not an issue.

Finally, regarding the price. It's $250 and only a moron would buy the 3G model when they could just turn their phone into a wireless hotspot and thus still have portable internet on the Vita.

Bare in mind, $250 is what the 3DS costs so if you're going to claim the Vita (which is much more powerful than the 3DS) is over priced then that means you obviously think that the 3DS is the most overpriced console in history.
