this piece of equipment needs a game designed with its strengths and limitations in mind. so i could see a portable elder scrolls game released on this platform using a lot of the same resources from skyrim, but dont get your hopes up. the last psp elderscrolls got canceled.

The PSP Elder Scrolls game that was cancelled had to be a spin-off. The PSP just didn't have hardware comparable to the PS3's, the 360's, or whatever else was required to handle Oblivion. This new Vita... it's supposedly very comparable to the PS3 and 360 and while the PS3 and 360 have the same, exact hardware they used to, the Vita is very much an upgrade from the PSP.

Oh... No.

I know how things get hyped up a lot at E3, but the Vita looks AMAZING.

Still... No.

im just saying i would rather there be a new game using the skyrim hardware designed for the psvita, i know how strong it is, but how would SKYRIM take advantage of the touchpad/screen and the gyroscopic controlls. if it didnt use them it wouldnt be the end of the world, im just saying i would prefer a game built for the vita.

According to what we've been told of the Vita's hardware, not really...

a 830MHz quad core CPU and a decent quad core GPU that isn't comperable to today's mid-range graphics card.

Graphics would suffer greatly

Doubt it as the Elder Scrolls hardly goes on portable consoles... Remember Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion? So I highly doubt Skyrim will be ported onto PS Vita even considering it's hardware capabilities.

Why is that a problem? No one plays a handheld game for it's HD graphics.

I mean it's still a bad idea. No one plays a handheld game for an epic RPG either(well they do actually, which makes me wonder if they ever take their handhelds anywhere), but still

There would be no profit incentive to port it to this new piece of hardware that is not even out yet, and will most likely be released in Japan first where there is very little demand for a Western CRPG.

How about not just mods, but a Creation Kit that runs in the PSVITA's massive 256 MB of memory... :lmao:
