Now we just need people to start up projects for Elsweyr, Valenwood, Hammerfell, High Rock, and the Summerset Isles and we could have all of Tamriel in Morrowind when everyone was finally finished some years down the road :twirl:

Argh! Not yet! At least wait until some of P:C is released.

I had thoughts about starting a Summerset Isles Project, and a Valenwood project by myself like Val and zackg did with Argonia and Skyrim, but I'd rather just continue working on Cyrodiil, some of the progress we've made has been really amazing.

And then OpenMW gives us a more stable engine with tons of modding possibilities, Connary's Texture Compendium is released, and it'd be like a brand new game! :D

No, no, no, I meant after those projects are done, personally, I wanna see them actually make it so I can at least explore the East/Central parts of Tamriel :)

Indeed, and I look forward to that day already

Come to think of it, have you already tried to put ice textures on statues? An alley of ice sculptures in front of a temple (for example) might be interesting. :) I'mnot sure how re-usable Morrowind's stock statues are for Skyrim though ...

Statue meshes shouldn't be too hard to make using Zbrush or Blender sculpting. Of course, you could stick a few ice textures on vanilla stutters, but Nords don't really worship the same gods that the Dunmer do.

Yep. Although the dragon statue (as in Ebonheart's plaza) would work well as Ysmir imho. But the Daedra wouldn't work half as well.

Off corse, there will be a quest! Another team member is working on a website, because we also realized that the thread becomes a little bit confusing.

Yes, I have some more, but more "normal". I hope you guys collaborate with the other Skyrim & Neverhalls authors.
Here is some inspiration for anyone interested in cold landscapes:

Cold Landscapes & Caves
http://www.sendspace.com/file/da2syy
*I do not own copyrights, so do not use actual photos.

I would also highly recommend a BBC documentary called Planet Earth: Ice Worlds! The whole series really...
This is just a thought: would it be possible for a character's controls to be "very sensitive" to simulate slipping on "black ice texture"?
Of course it would have to be very rarely used.
Good luck.
Cheers.

p.s.
Something like this may be also cool on lower elevation:

Cool work DW

Great Job, Daywalker.

It looks like a worthy place for one of the greatest wizards of Skyrim.

...

Good, but I'm not big on those floating island things or those bright textures. I would rather see a dark Skyrim, Vality has done that so far. It's the only big difference between the two projects that really catches my eye.

Otherwise, that's some pretty cool stuff there, BTW, did you make those floating islands from Emperor Parasol Caps?

Yes, I agree with you, I also think that Daywalker's more fairytale style of this wizard castle is good for skyrim, cause skyrim is not only dark...

The area on this screens you see is only a small hidden valley and it's the hideout place of a very mighty but excentric illusionist mage. I will put some work into that character and make him/ her as detailed and vital as I can. This floating castle shall be a place of rest and recovery inmid the icey winds of Skyrim. The interiors of this flying stalag-shrooms will be a kind of museum for the most ecxiting and freaky stuff morrowind has to offer. And one of those shrooms will contain a home for the player, where he/ she can create their own interiors and showcase their loot.

@Melchior: I would like to have some of your darkh creatures as trophies for the walls of the castle. It's exactly that wicked stuff I was thinking of!!! :frog:

@Starwarsguy: The floating stalag-shrooms were made in blender, the times I had to modify standard tiles are gladly over now and I can do most things from scratch now! ;)
