- The so-called new engine, the foundation still being the Gamebyro.
- Patches that break more than they fix.
- Magic system/magic users got the shaft, severely.
- Main Quest glitches/bugs that prevent completion.
- PS3 users being tarnished in their good faith once more.
- I can go on.

This game is great but from a technical standpoint, deserves more a 6 out of 10 and maybe even lower for the PS3 base for being broken. Still love this game and keep on playing it, bit by bit everyday.

Definitely deserves GOTY, this game is amazing. And again, I still don't see all these issues people are having even on PS3. Maybe it's because I'm not so bothered by the little things

I've played Skyrim for approximately 200 hours.

That's closing in as much as I've played in Oblivion in Morrowind (separately), and they've been out for years. No other game has made me play this obsessively, ever.

For me, and I'm sure a lot of people that can gauge a game's worth based on how much playtime you get from it, Skyrim is a masterpiece, and I couldn't ask for better in good faith, because then I'd be demanding God to come down and learn to write code.

Considering how game ratings work these days, Skyrim certainly deserves an 11. Garbage is getting high ratings (Dragon Age 2), the only way to properly express the awesome of Skyrim is by breaking the meter. Skyrim is that awesome.

The only thing Gamebryo was the renderer, which has been stripped and recoded. Check the box, no Gamebryo logo.

The 1.2 patch only broke magic resistance and dragon animations, unless i am missing something... Sure its not good that it broke anything at all, but 2 new bugs vs the many fixed bugs is far from "Breaking more then they fix".

- Treasure chests
- Dragons.

The second one is pretty major for me. ;;]

True, but as long as their lawyers or ties such as Zenimax sue for a silly things, they will be bankrupt sooner than you think. Also having a closer relationship with bugged games, then the games themselves. The lawyers will make them go bankrupt along with the continued release of lying/misleading the audience about Skyrims "new engine", "new way of squashing those bugs". It is no different from any other release. I will be sure to raise the BS flag everytime I see Todd Howard open his mouth about some "innovation" in the future.

I don't care what the game is rated.

ALL ratings have completely lost all meaning to me ever since GTA4 got the same rating as Ocarina of Time.

You don't really believe that, do you?

It's pretty simple. Buy the license of Gamebryo engine before/during it went bankrupt, change the name to Creation, done.

Last I check, Crytek UK and Free Radical Design are literally the same, except the name and perhaps a few minor modifications.

Looking back, Todd is starting to become Peter Molyneux with all the false promises and gross exaggerations.

Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite games, but 11/10? It doesn't even deserve a 10/10. I'd put it at a 9.0, 9.5 if they clear up a good amount of the bugs. Could have been a 10.0, but it's blatantly apparent that they were rushed with the quality of certain things in the game as they don't demonstrate the same quality as other parts (Bard's college, civil war questline...etc)
