Skyrim's graphics, I'm worried

Isn't that a little cheap?

Mods are third party, made by people who enjoy the game. Bethesda has nothing to do with them, other than encouraging their creation and use.

That's the idea.

Mods are free, bethesda doesn't directly benefit in the name of cash for them, but does benefit in the name of an extended lifespan for the game. Last year I went out and bought Morrowind from Best Buy. In case you're not aware it has been around since before Oblivion came out. That sounds to me like a pretty long lifespan which most likely wouldn't have been possible without mods.

It might be a good idea to wait and see how Creation Engine -works- before making grand, sweeping statements about ease or appearance of potential mods......

Not just textures, models too. IIRC, the Tamriel Rebuilt for OB was canceled because of how much more work/skill was needed, compared to morrowind. I know some people will be able to create textures/models awesomely, but there will be less people skilled enough to create them.

Yeah for things like new architecture for large modding projects it's more difficult in Oblivion/Skyrim than in Morrowind.

Based on what I saw on existing mods from Oblivion to Morrowind, I think modders can take care of themselves.
