You do realize this bracket is basically a popularity contest, right?

The ONLY games with a chance this year are Skyrim, Uncharted 3, and Zelda.
This is basically a given fact that one will win.

Uncharted 3 is gone. and Gears 3 has a damn good chance to win as well.

Portal 2 is a amazing game, but nobody is playing it anymore. We will be playing skryim for months/years.

Battlefield 3 is also a huge improvement to multiplayer FPS, but had a lot of problems since the release.

I guess is a easy Skyrim win.

Interesting list. Skyrim would be my vote out of that list, but I have not yet played Arkham City, Dark Souls or Revelations. Gears 3 was good, but I don't think it does enough to contend for GOTY. Portal 2 was OK, I liked some of the puzzles, but it just didn't really do anything for me, and I thought the game dragged on too long in the middle. Never been a fan of Zelda, and BF3's campaign was pretty weak.

Yes, dragons being totally screwed up (seen them myself) is a minor bug. Total, they're only peripherally related to the game...

Look boy, I'm tired of fanatics, either the ones who claim Bethesda are Gods and everything they do is Golden, as the ones that enter the forums and say "this game suuuxxxxxx!". Fortunately, I'm neither. I really love the game, but when I have issues, and see the forums, other webs, YouTube, etc...and see that tons of people are having the same issues, or even worse ones, and when I read that Bethesda themselves have even appointed some statements to do on the very patch they've released, I'm not so blind to think they haven't done anything wrong.

If you are, it's not my problem. And this is the last post I write here about that (definitely).

Your claim of me being a Bethesda fanatic shows how ignorant you are. Skyrim is my second TES; I think Fallout 3 was ok, and I absolutely hated Oblivion. That alone proves I DO NOT think everything Bethesda does is golden. And the dragons are not totally screwed up for me. They function fine(would occasionally ignore me), and even better after the patch. And I'm not sure what your definition of "tons of people" means, but I'm sure if you sum up the number of unique internet users you have seen complaining, it's under 50,000. And good thing that it's your last post because I'm tired of arguing with an amateur.

I think Skyrim deserves GOtY, but I also think we deserve an actual awarding body that matters, to give it GOtY.

It's basically a popularity contest when they do vote.

Plus the people voting have probably tried 1/8 of these games.

A not yet released Skyrim beat minecraft, and mortal kombat?
A not yet released (or even reviewed) Zelda beat Uncharted?
A not yet released Assassins Creed Revelations (which is a bad game) got to the semi finals?

Thats how reliable these "fake" GOTY votes are.

I think Skyrim will win more GOTY awards than any other game, and will probably be up there with Halflife for % of GOTY awards won.

I also think that GOTY awards shouldn't even start up until February. Not only are they in November, but many of the best releases don't happen till the holiday season.

Actually, BF3 was more popular this year.
All the 13 year old MW3 kids now think BF is where the "cool kids" are.

Yea Skyrim has 50 perfect review scores!!!!! The only game that got more was uncharted 3. (it got 59/72)

By the way, did anyone notice how all the GOOD games were on the right side?!
