Anyway to download this by not using Steam. The reason I ask is I have a terrible internet connection at home (Steam is on my home computer) but have a super fast connection at work (Steam not allowed on work computers). Work doesn't have any issues with me downloading something and putting it on a thumb drive though.

What sale?

Anyhow, what do you expect? Games lose value over time. In a year, Skyrim will hit the 10$ dustbins. Always expect a price point drop quaterly for digital products; first a sale, then a permanent discount, etc.

Edit: Ah, just noticed, its 39.99$ for a week. Good on people who waited for the CK to buy

Also: +1 for before/after pics of the highres pack. I hope its superior to what modders have already made :)

If someone can put up a few comparison shots of the same scenes before/after, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yea before/after comparision or something for a few textures would be nice if some1 is able to. Would like to see how it compares to the already existing HD texture packs out there.

Well, would work have an issue with you installing steam, downloading it, then copying it to your thumb drive, then deleting steam? I realize that's a bit more to ask of them than just downloading a file, but might be they'd let you do that?

If not, do you have a friend with a good Internet connection at home, who could download it for you and copy it?

Still trying to get the hi-res pack, keep getting that annoying "sorry, we couldn't add your item!" error.

Is there some kind of Steam limit to how many people can be downloading at once. I started downloading on my Cable modem, then switch over to my DSL modem, then back to my cable modem, but I can't get it to continute to download. It says Suspended.

Can someone please let us know what the textures' resolutions are? If they 2k and beyond, I think I'll skip them.
