i could see hot springs / geysers in skyrim, so perhaps lava but only in the deepest of caverns...

@Muspila: It's been a while since I've seen the spider, I had forgotten what it's textures looked like. o.O
I'd still like to see it in dungeons, though I agree caves would suit it better.

@Lestat: With all those mountains there is bound to be some volcanic activity underground.
Some lava in really deep dungeons would be cool, go for it.

Bad News, Skyrim Bloodwings are stronger and faster than Vvardenfel Cliff Racers :flamethrower:

The whole mod is focused on Level 60+ Players, even the Wolfes are stronger than on Solstheim and attack in group from 4 to 15 Wolfes

Isn't focussing on level 60+ players a little too ambitious. I have played well over 1000 hours, and the highest level I have achieved is lvl43 for my very first character, who did everything (completed all three MQ, was head of most factions and had explored all of Vvardenfall). So are you sure anybody are ready for a lvl 60+ mod.

I usually trash my characters after I get around level 30, plus I use GCD, so yeah, I agree, not a very good idea to aim for level 60+ as hardly anyone plays that high.

I think that's the point, to give people a reason to play at higher levels, which I think is fine.
As long as there's some low level areas too then it shouldn't really be a problem.

You could lower the lvl, but tbh as long as the high lvl areas aren't areas you're required to go (except maybe for some difficult quest), then I think it'd be fine.
It'd bring some challenge into the game, which, let's admit it already, is pretty damn easy once you've played it as many times as most people here have.

edit: actually, scratch that, I'd like some high level areas you ARE required to go to too, along with the lower level weaker areas.

I agree with you Dirnae...there have to be different areas for different levels...

I also use GCD and if my nord warrior rise up to level 50+ there isn't a great challenge anymore on Vvardenfel or Solstheim. I slay every enemy with a few hits of my battleaxe...For Skyrim I could say that it will be more or less save close to populared areas and in the warmer south west of The Reach, but climbing up High Hrothgar, exploring the lonely wilderness of the forests and glaciers is much more dangerous and every part of the Mainquest NEEDS a higher level...it's not a good idea for a level 20 wood elf to enter Labyrinthian or other MQ Dungeons...it is also only possible to enter them during the MQ cause their exits are scripted or you need a special key.

I guess there should be a realisic chance to die in the game even with a high level character, otherwise it seems like a relaxing walk in the park

Speaking of Labyrinthian and such, are there any screenshots yet of non-forested places? The forested hills looked great, but we've gotten so many screenshots of that type of place that I'm starting to itch to see some mountains or settlements.

edit: partial nevermind...somehow I missed the shots of the little fishing village. Looks awesome! Anything done with the larger cities yet? I know they take a ton of work, but I think they'd be the most interesting to see...

Labyrinthian:

Labyrinthian is located in White Hold and White Hold is just done in fragments yet...means no screens at that stage

Citys:

I'm working on Haafingar (Solitude) yet (Size 3.5 Cells/ ~70 Houses)...is guess I will post screens from Haafingar in 2 or 3 weeks.

Are the tombs in Solstheim built by Skyrim-Nords? I'm not sure, I think so.
But otherwise we would perhaps have to ask ourselves, if the skyrim-nords actually have the same burial rites.
On the other hand we don't need to be so anol either, since we will conflict with the main-lore-strean anyway as soon als TES V will be there. Though some new burial rites, like bringing the dead to the peaks of the highest mountains.... Do you remember, Lestat? This would stand in anology with the religion of the nords where they refer to themselves as children of the sky. Just an idea.

As for Haafinheim. Umm. cool. I like that there is no broad street and that the buidlings are spread in a way that it looks distinctive from Vvardenfell. And this is good. Only the buildings themselves.... The textures are okay. The meshes... are obviously the same as in Morrowind. Admittedly some of the retextured meshes were already labeled as nord-buildings in Morrowind. But those with the brick-covered roofs are definetively imperial and not nord. Thus those are framehouses and stonewalls make no sense on them. Either the beams go or the stonewalls. How about if I make some tweakings on them?

And, thanks for referring to my thread. :)

I like the tomb, it captures the Nordic feel nicely, while looking more primitive than the one's found on solstheim.
You could make the lighting more intense, and the area darker.

@Muspila:
From the PGttE:
Nords are masters of wood and timber construction; many structures survive in use today that were built by the first settlers over 3,000 years ago.

And also according to the PGttE:
Solitude, is one of the richest and most influential counties in Skyrim.

A richer and most likely more imperialised area may use more modern stone construction. However the older areas of town would probably be wooden.
So maybe have the more important, ancestral buildings in town made from wood, and the other things like common houses and shops from stone.

I say take the beams off of the model and leave them as stone buildings, it distinguishes the town from the more isolated towns of skyrim.
You could replace some buildings with nice wooden ones though.
Temples could be wooden buildings, something unique would be nice, maybe an embellished wooden shrine to Shor?

I have to say, most of the location names ive seen so far i can't actually see on the map of Skyrim.
Other than that it would be great to see skyrim designed to fit next too TR, and built to equal quality.

And also, your website needs a decent layout and more content.

I could lend a hand designing a site for you if your interested?

And any help modding i would be more than happy to help

Haafingar is the old Name for Solitude. On Every Skyrim Map you will find Solitude, but I personally prefer the old name.

I'll send you a PM because of Website and Modding.

Love the new Haafinheim pics...very mysterious (and cold) looking forest. Pics of Haafingar are fantastic, though I wouldn't mind seeing some larger buildings, like maybe a keep/palace type place, or more tower-type buildings. But I think you've captured the essence of the city pretty well. Pics of the tombs are great, very large and forboding.
