It will take some time till it's final release, but maybe there will be a pre-release of a single hold next year, without quests, just as explore mod.

Hm. The Chronicles of Ysgramor could only have been written by one of his two sons who survived the Night of Tears. Preferably towards the end of his life (for dramatic effect). He would have been born in Saarthal and recounts the once peaceful life of his youth, the slaughter of the Night of Tears and his dramatic escape as an adolescent to Atmora - over the icy Sea of Ghosts. His bitter exile in a land torn and torched by civil war and the grim determination of his father to gather the five houndred (er - no. Make that a thousand) most able warriors of the old continent to seek revenge for the "treason of the mer". The sailing south where half his men died in the ice-choked sea (hence: the Five Houndred Companions!) and the bloody and merciless war against the elves of Skyrim. Well, sounds like a good story to me...

The Chronicles of Ysgramor

It is getting darker. My eyesight leaves me and my candle is slowly burning down. While I am waiting for Kyne?s kiss, I shall write this account...

...

...something like that? :embarrass:

Just two new screens, but a little proof of life:

Winterhold Region

We also have to update the website, cause all the screens there are "out of time"...Skyrim looks totaly different than 9 month ago

I've tried to make my frist video ever...

I still wonder why the quality is so bad, but I will find out the reason.

I don't know what your plans are for adding new creatures, but I have some ideas for passive (aggressive when attacked) wildlife from the real world's northern climates:

Muskoxen, caribou, reindeer, moose, arctic foxes, and waterfowl such as swans (I don't know how possible it is to have waterfowl, aka birds that sit on top of the water), and otters and killer whales. Having some of these creatures in Skyrim would add a lot more interesting diversity than just bears and wolves.

There is much more diversity in the forest than bears and wolfs..peaceful and agressive creatures.

For that forest it means bears, wolfes, forst boars, wild hogs, rats, spriggans, trolls, werewolves, wargs, deers, rabbit, squirrel, moose and goblins.

You see only 1 or 2 cells of a forest that will have the size of Solstheim.

Arctic Foxes would be cool, but I've never found any resource and I've never modeled a creature or animated it.

The http://morroblivion.com/forums/morrowind/mods/101 has a fox derived from Cait's husky resource. You can probably texture it white and use that :)

You could look at http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=3801, think they were based on Cait models. There is a fairly realistic looking retexture (pattern wise at least) that you might be able to adjust http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5212.

In FRAPS, on the movies page, you can choose half-size video or full-size, i record all my videos at half, cos if i did it at full res it would be a HUUUUUGE file

And then when you re-encode it in WMM, select "Video for lan (768kbps)"

Thats how i do all mine anyway

I checked the ReadMe, and it doesn't seem to have any issues in regards to that, so I went ahead and threw it up on RapidShare for you: http://rapidshare.com/files/316846879/KAGZ_LITTLE_FOXES.zip.html

Link is good for 10 downloads or 90 days

Only thing I'm worried about is that my fps will drop painfully in the forests.

The only FPS problems I've noticed so far are with MGE and a large view distance...cause with view distance 20 for example MGE have to render 25000-30000 Objects. It make sense to disable or minimize distant land if you're going to Haafinheim Forests cause you can't look very far because of the dense trees, grass and shrubs
