I have to admit that I had my doubts about this mod. There have been a bunch of attempts to make Skyrim/Nord stuff over the years, and none of them panned out.

But those pictures of the forest have made me a convert. That is the first forest I've seen in Morrowind that actually looks like a forest. Excellent work. I'll really look forward to playing that.

I'm modding as hell, but I'm the laziest Mother****er in screenposting...

So don't worry because of a few month without screens :D

I'll try to post more screens, I promise :embarrass:

I've found a pic from the forest ground, before I've started to great overhaul 4-5 month ago

http://pic.leech.it/pic.php?id=4b4cb86sky14.jpg

Objects Jan09: 500-800 per cell

Objects Sep09: 1300-1550 per cell

I repeat...it is still playable, but you should better use no 10 years old relic PC...a newer low end PC could deal with it.

Just want to say that I'm really watching this mod. Everything that's being worked on looks great. So don't think that no one cares about this at all. Wonderful stuff. Absolutely great. Makes me want to become a modder just to help out on this...but I've tried and to say the least it would take me WAY to long to learn how to do anything on the Construction Set...

Best of luck on this huge undertaking.

A few more screens from Haafinheim...They show a small fishermen's village at the northcoast of Haafinheim, where the great river flows in the Sea of Ghosts.

Thanks Wolvman,

but it will take a while till people could hunt in those forest. We are just a few people and it's hard to get some solid support...I don't know how haplo got so many solid modders for TR?!? I don't know...

I've originally planed to finish The Reach till late autumn and release it as a explore mod...but I get completly away from that idea...Why?...look at the beginning of Thread 3. I've asked the community if they will do one single house interior if I do a village and claim the houses...only 2 gave a positiv reply (I haven't forgot you guys, I'll conntact you if I'll do the next village)...but 2 interested people from 2000 hits is a very bad quote...so why should I be motivated to make haste and finish the first hold for a pre release if the people are completely unmotivated to help, even with a single house interior??????

I haven't done anything in The Reach since that and returned to my work on Haafinheim and I had no plans for the next weeks the continue in The Reach (The Reach is 50 % complete)...maybe I will return my work in that hold in winter.

I wish I could give you guys a hand, but I don't have much time myself. I'm not sure if it will really help you guys out any, but you are welcome to use any of RH's werecreatures when I get them finished. The werebears might be good for some new Skyrim quests. I'm sorry that I can't help with more :( .

Thanx,

Rocky and me also thought about joinable werewolve clans...but I guess this idea become relevant in a year or two. I'll use your creatures if those factions will be made.

Cheers

Hmm, that's what I suspected, but I don't remember seeing any sails like that in the Vanilla game, are they custom, or from a resource?

No, the ship is from an older quest mod from 2005 for the german version. A member once made that mod with 2 other guys.

A series of new Nordic House Models is done. I've made every model with 4 different mappings to add more variations to the new cities and villages. Wood and stone huts...panel, thatch and shingle roofing.

I've placed some ironwood trees in "The Reach", but not to many...there ingreds will be powerful, so the should not to a great number of them...There are also planed for the valleys of WhiteHold, but not for the colder regions.

@ coleman

There will be a large number of new models also on weapon, armor, creatures, plants and more

Those houses look cool lestat.

one q tho are they smaller than the skaal interiors? i hope so, it is damned difficult to fill acres of floor space with bear skins :P

A little bit smaller than the Skaal Houses...but the size is hard to compare with vanilla MW models so I say...larger than the MW nord huts and smaller than the skaal buildings...;-)

Hi Folks,

could ya help me out with a few photos from high grass, wildflowers, shrubs and more from the surrounding of your location?

I've modeled a couple grass meshes from scratch (Oblivion), but my problem is that I live in a capital, no wild nature around me and if I go out of my city I still find not the high grass and outer plants I need for taking a photo...Also google was not a big hit.

But I need photos for making good alphachannel textures :banghead:

I need NO grassy ground photos cause I've already got my texture source from CG Textures...just close snapshots of the plants.

It would be great if especially people from colder areas (scandinavia, russia,...ect) and people who live close forests could take a few pics form plants and PM me the JPG :icecream:
