Yes. Mudcrabs!
They are an important ingredient in one of my favorite potions...
But I still hate to kill them.
Ugly? Yes. I don't want to see them on my dinner plate.

(In ~2000 hours I've never killed a deer/goat/horker etc.)
Lucky for them, they are not potion material.
Spoiler
snowberries + thistle branch + mudcrab chitin

I actually like Mudcrabs in Skyrim. I think they're very well done in this game. I love how they blend into their environment. They're like river rocks that suddenly come alive. That is a much more imaginative way of animating them than in Morrowind or Oblivion, in my opinion.

Agree. They're awesome!

But the Hunting threads (on these very forums) depress me.

Hunting in Skyrim is every bit as unethical and immoral as it is in real life.

The Skaal have the right outlook... revisit them if anybody finds hunting to be 'fun'.

Haelga. What an unsightly creature. I warn ye don't delve into her den for fear you'll want to lose your eyes later.

What!?
Oh man I'm puttin' this into the Wiki right now...
~2000 hours and I've never seen this.

Off topic:
I did see something today that I've never seen before!
North of Ivarstead and south of Hillgrund's Tomb, there's a fallen tree (a long one!) spanning an enormous river chasm.
And now Haelga! Ahhh, me - it's been quite a day.

Lol. T

he beast lives in Riften, lures men in....and does horrible things. Heed the warning and don't ye investigate this creature for ye will never be the same again.

(A bandit will appear and fight you across it.)

Woe befall the unwary traveller who carries one of her Tokens. Thy shalt never look upon a Horker Tusk the same way again...

There is no creature more horrible than the disillusioned savage goblins that call themselves nords whom infest the once holy land of Skyrim. They, who insult the once proud Nord race. Nords who knew of honor, culture, and duty. Alduin preserve me, what has happened to my brothers and sisters? Blasphemous hero worship has caused them to devolve...

Tahrodiis Bronne! Dir ko faaz!
