Skyrim:How to create my character?

Post » Wed Sep 24, 2014 5:46 am

I want to make my own character based on the fantasy book I'm writing, and I don't know how. I have a bio that should help. Here it is!

Saena: The heroine; half of the story will be written first-person point-of-view from her perspective; Saena is the youngest daughter of an honorable, well-to-do traveling merchant named Silam; the family travels between Euna and the outskirts of the Forest regularly; Saena has an elder sister named Phana who is mainly concerned with becoming a member of the Nobility; Saena enjoys the life of the traveling merchant, but her father impresses upon her the importance of finding the source of decay in the land and stopping it.

as in what to make her look like? its pretty straight forward on how to make a character in Skyrim. but without knowing what your book character looks like... descriptively wise anyway, I can't even suggest what race you should use. From what you have said that she is a merchant I'd place her as a imperial or nord. But if in your book she is an elf then I'd say Dunmer.

being nobility and a woman it might have been frowned upon for her to lift a sword so. maybe magic? and I'd have her dabble in potion making (alchemy) and enchanting and smithing. as a merchant she can sell items for more if they are enchanted.

But if she is going to use weapons. maybe something fancy. If she is a imperial I'd use imperial weapons. If a nord I'd use iron or steel. If she is an elf, well elvish or glass weapons when your smithing is high enough to craft them.

I'm thinking magic here. A mix of maybe conjuration and illusion so that she doesn't have to get her noble hands too dirty. Maybe a dagger for back up in tight situations and some expensive jewellery (enchanted) as is befitting someone of her position.

That's a bit difficult to archieve, i kmow, but just try different face configurations.

Try different faces - see those, for example:

Nords: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-race-Nord.jpg

Imperials: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-race-Imperial.jpg

Bretons: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-race-Breton.jpg

They are sliders of almost every face aspect. !!! So just play with those. I thing at the end you, will get more or less, something comparable to the picture* i posted above.

See wears light armor btw. - that's easy to archive in Skyrim.

I'm not sure what you mean by "Class" though as there is no "Class" per say in Skyrim. This isn't like Dragon Age for example where you pick to be either a mage class, warrior class or rogue class. In Skyrim how you spend your perk points and use your skills decides your "class" heck in Skyrim you can be all three if you like. Personally I suggest sticking to one and like I said earlier, I suggest mage. Being nobility (like I mentioned earlier) it might have been frowned upon by her family to use weapons. Mabye sort of go with a rogue/mage build.

Use of a dagger in her off hand (left hand) and spells in her right. destruction, illusion, conjure. Have her skilled in sneaking and using her quick wit and intelligence to outsmart the enemy instead of taking them on in a frontal assault. And light armor for sure. Pictured in that one pic Mark posted was Thieves Guild armor. Which has good enchantments for a rogue like character.

She looks Breton to me... so as far as recreating her face I suggest looking at the Breton race.

However it looks to me like mods are involved with her face as she looks like a Breton mage I once made. Its to bad she is wearing a hood.

Yeah, as Resident_WithinP say. This girl was made, with the PC version in mind. But it was pretty clear to me, after reading the first post, that this face should be the OP's Fantasy character.

However, recreating it in vanilla skyrim, should be a bit difficult. But he can try to make the best of it. :D

OH GOODNESS! I probably can NOT do that! D: This is the first game I've ever played with a character creator this great. I might need someone to take a screenshot/video on how to make it.

If it's not TOO much to ask, could you watch those videos and give me a time that shows the closest to the image?

well the image, again appears to be a Breton woman with mods to alter her face. In fact it looks like mods such as No Blocky Faces is in use and possibly even http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35678/?

http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/35678-1-1375613020.jpg Your not going to be able to achieve this look with vanilla sliders.

The Breton I made that looks a lot like the girl in question was made using the altered new Breton race presets and no blocky faces. http://i.minus.com/ib1ToTNmneJngI.jpg

I understand that. :)

Which is why I'm saying you won't be able to create the woman in the picture because her facial features/appearance and sliders have been altered by mods.

Well, with the videos provided, what would be the closest one to the picture? If you could provide the time, I'd appreciate it. :)

trial and error my friend. just take a preset you like for the race you selected and then adjust it as you wish. make something unique for you. We can't/shouldn't design the character for you.

But if you really want to make a character look like someone in the game, http://hubpages.com/hub/better-looking-characters http://www.truancyfactory.com/mods/skyrim/skyrim_characters.html
