Skyrim Hub update Jan 10! 2

Post » Sun Sep 12, 2010 10:06 am

It's a shot of the in-game main menu, although probably just a placeholder one. It's very similar to the GI cover, it's also probably a placeholder. I don't know what the person you quoted is talking about.

The main menu screen is pretty sick I hope they don't change it.

Whiterun, Riften and Windhelm are dfinitelythere (and the small town of Riverwood). Dawnstar, Solitude, Markath Side and Winterhold don't seem to be, though that's further away so hard tot tell.

I couldnt imagine Solitude not being a major city, but I see what youre saying. It HAS to be...

Skyrim is the same size as the Imperial Province had been. Doesn't look like the territory's changed.

You mean the map itself or the scale?

I meant the map Todd was pointing at. It's nearly as big as him :)

We can also see concept art of glass armor. I'm honestly glad they kept the bright green look.

At least, I'm pretty sure it's glass armor. We would be able to tell better if we had a bigger video with higher resolution (please?).

What's going on at 3:24?

Showing off something like a menu screen for the game with "Continue", "Save", "Load" and such.

I can make out the following on that map:

CITIES
- Windhelm
- Riften
- Whiterun
- Solitude (very difficult to make out, in the top left)
- A few other large settlements without labels; the most likely candidate for the fifth major city is Dawnstar, in the center top, since its label would be off-camera.

REGIONS
- Eastmarch (described as "Volcanic tundra")
- The Pak? (middle letter unclear; described a "snow")
- Something starting with "W" (Westmarch? described as "tundra")

The stuff in the east is generally easier to make out then the stuff in the west.

You know I like the concept of having a giant map and then telling people what sections they need to work on and I agree the map poster is huge.

I think I saw a concept art of an Argonian. Look at the segment where Todd enters a room with design sketches. I'll see if I can't find it again.

Not necessarily. Lots can change, and that place is all icy now.

Really nice update from Game Informer, more than I thought. Interesting snapshot of the whiteboard. I wonder if all weapon will have a maximum of 3 stats like its shown in the video? It kinda coincides with the "Health, Mana, Stamina" thingie. :/
