Skyrim Identity

Post » Mon Dec 16, 2013 4:35 pm

Basically this was inspired by the Fallout identity thread over on the New Vegas forums so post the identity of your characters and such.

Name: Shara Yahaz

Age: 26

Race: Dunmer

Heritage: Ashlander refugee

Gender: Female

Apparel: Either monk robes or blackguard armor

Class: Nightblade

Fighting style: Daggers, magic and stealth

Factions: Dark Brotherhood, Thieves guild, House Telvanni, College of Winterhold

CW allegiance: Nuetral

History: Shara was born from one of the few Ashlander refugee families, she has never been to Morrowind save for Solstheim and she spent a majority of her life moving from village to village. While her family, the last of a caravan of Ashlander refugees, wasn't part of an ashlander tribe anymore though they continued to live the nomadic life like their ancestors, traveling from place to place and living in patchwork yurts made from various animal hides.

At age 10 Shara took a delight in moving through the shadow of the Cyrodiilic woods of Northern Colovia, either silently following travels who walked along the roads or spying on a local farmstead or hunter. At age 13 her father began to teach her the life of a survivalist, tracking down animals, skinning them, fishing, and other techniques to get through living off the land. Her mother who came from a long-line of wise women began to teach her the ways of magic and honoring the true Tribunal at age 17, it took her longer to utilize the teachings of the Wise Women but eventually she got there.

At age 23 she began to feel sheltered and began to beg her parents to allow her to explore the world on her own, reluctently they agreed and they parted ways, Shara heading north to Skyrim and her parents and the caravan heading east, back to Morrowind.

Why not, I have more than a few. I'll post them in spoilers so they won't clutter much. I'll give very small bios though.

Spoiler

Name: Zedrik Shant

Age: 47

Race: Nord

Heritage: Skyrim Nord

Gender: Male

Apparel: Banded Iron armor.

Class: Miner/Makeshift Guard

Fighting Style: Two handed blades.

Faction: None

CW Alliance: Empire

Zedrik's one of my most simple folk, he was born and raised in Shor's Stone, along with Filnjar, they both wed as soon as they reached advlt age.

While Filnjar showed skill in smiting, Zedrik showed skill in fighting, which make Zed the perfect test subject for Filnjar's smiting experiments!

Right now they both live the simple life in Shor's Stone, with Zed occasionally patrolling the area because the guards are useless lots in his mind.

Spoiler

Name: Oso

Age: 23

Race: Orc

Heritage: Cyrodilic Orc

Apparel: Simple mages robe, Ocassionally the Arch-Mage robe.

Class: Mage

Fighting Style: All forms of magic

Faction: Mages guild (Archmage)

Cw Alliance: Empire

Most of his childhood was going from orphanage to orphanage, his name came from a pet name an old Imperial guard gave him, his "guardian", and the one that guarded the caravan that transported him to the various places. He became a rather huge bookworm, books were the only thing that made him forget he was in the Orphanage.

He had no problem using magic, and used a trip to Skyrim to his advantaged and joined the College. He learned greater control of his magic, and the old imperial guard came to visit constantly.

Now he's the Archmage (*grumbles at the lack of spell making which would have fit Oso's role as an Archmage better*)

He occasionally ask help from the Legion to collect ancient artifacts to experiment on the enchantments of the old

I should probably post more, but that should suffice for now. I still need to do a google documents all my guys.

The character I'm currently playing with

Spoiler

Name: Lielle Motiien

Age: 24

Race: Breton

Gender: Female

Apparel: Fur armor and scaled pieces for travel; Elven armor for combat; and robes to relax

Class: archer/conjurer

Fighting style: conjuration and bound bow (when she cant use illusion to avoid fighting)

Factions: novice at the College of Winterhold

CW allegiance: neutral (with small inclination to stormcloaks)

History: Even before Lielle's mother passed away, her family wealth was long gone and didn't take long for a girl in her mid teens to lose the rest. Seduced by promesses of a home, family and power she joined a coven not too far from her city she lived (Bruma). The head mistress of the coven knew from the moment she set eyes on the naive Lielle that there was something special about the girl, although she didnt really know what. As the girl grew and learned more of the ways of the witches, more she despited then. All those wicked rituals... that couldn't be right. And one day, as she snooped through the head mistress' pappers she found out she was the main ingredient for the next ritual, a ritual to absorb her soul or something.

Poor Lielle didn't think twice before grabbing her things and running in the middle of the night while the othes slept. And after a few days she ran into a group of bandits. With the illusion tricks she learned, it wasn't hard to convince them to bring her unharmed to their leader, and then again to be made the new cook. Lielle never really made friends there, and never felt safe, something with the way they looked at her, as she was a piece of meat surrounded by starving men. One night, when she was the watch, one of the bandits tried to have his way with her and after a quick struggle and a stab of a dagger at the bandit's chest she was free. Lielle didn't really knew the man's name, but she knew he was someone important in the camp. They'd never forgive her for that, and once again she saw herself on the run. Lielle ran, she ran the only way they wouldn't look for her: North.

Not the first character I RPed with, but the first I bothered to make a backstory. I'd appreciate pple's opinion on it. Also consider english is not my native language, so please forgive any error.

Copy-paste, ahoy! But modified to fit the format of the OP. These are my babbies and my "official" characters.

Spoiler
Name: Aloiis
Age: 24
Race: Male Breton
"Class": Battlemage
Apparel: Hide Armor+Mage Hood-> Novice Mage outfit-> Light Stalhrim+Adept Hood-> Red Sleeveless Dawnguard Armor
Fighting Style: Blade and Restoration magic with Frost Magic support. Hit hard. Hit fast. And try not to get hit. Even if he's a Restoration mage.
Factions: College of Winterhold (Apprentice), Greybeards, Dawnguard
CW Allegiance: Leaning Empire, but pushed into Neutral
One of a group of triplets. He lived a fairly normal life in Skingrad up until age 16 when his mother, who was already a bit unstable, began to lose her mind. It got so bad his father considered taking he and his siblings to Camlorn and leaving their far-gone mother behind. Aloiis decided to stay with his sister Genevieve while their brother Pierrick left with their father, never hearing from them again.
Two years later their mother passed away and Genevieve was admitted to the Synod, using up what was left of the family's meager fortune. Aloiis stayed behind in Skingrad and joined up with the Fighter's guild, but the two triplets kept in touch through letters. Over the years correspondence from Genevieve grew more and more rare until it stopped coming altogether.
Then one day in early Sun's Height she suddenly showed up on his doorstep with plans to travel to the College of Winterhold far to the north in Skyrim. She wanted Aloiis to come with her for the sake of his mental and emotional well-being which had spiraled out of control after their mother's death. He wasn't very enthusiastic about the idea as he wasn't particularly skilled in magic. His sister was also...weary of northerners, and so he suspected there was more to her decision than just dissatisfaction with the Synod. He eventually caved and gathering what little coin he had made from his work for the Fighter's Guild and Salmo the Baker, he left Skingrad with his sister.
Spoiler
Name: Zul'massa
Age: 26
Race: Male Suthay-raht Khajiit
"Class": Shadow Mage
Apparel: Blue Finery-> Apprentice Mage outfit-> Master Mage outfit
Fighting Style: Shock Magic or similar Staff and Conjuration/Illusion magic. A gentleman should avoid getting his hands dirty whenever possible, but when he does, he makes sure to make it hurt.
Factions: College of Winterhold (high standing), Thieves Guild(before he destroyed it from the inside)
CW Allegiance: Indifferent
A Khajiit born into a wealthy family. He once led a sheltered lifestyle in Corinthe. Somewhat serious and prudish, he avoided the more indulgent activities of his peers. Along with his love of music, he developed an interest in magic at an early age when his father bought him a staff brought down from northern Hammerfell. He diligently pursued his interest, eventually identifying the staff as one belonging to the fabled mage Azra Nightwielder. Learning of the mage's accomplishments, he brought it upon himself to continue his work.
At age 19 he was responsible for the deaths of two people brought about by his experiments with magical sound and music. He fled north to Cyrodiil and eventually made his way to northern Hammerfell where he would learn more about Azra and his "Shadow Magic."
Finding that there was nothing more he could learn in a land where one of his profession is distrusted at best, he decided to try his luck at an organized magical institution. The College of Whispers could have offered him some insight in mortal souls, but the political side of the organization was something he'd rather not deal with. He eventually set his hopes on the College of Winterhold, though this meant traveling to a land where not only were mages held in contempt, but his kind was also widely distrusted. He was afraid, but even unarmed and declawed he was never without a means of defense. He also had an ample amount of gold which he had made with what little he was able to take from his family's estate. He had survived alone in Hammerfell and he would do the same in Skyrim.

And if he was smart about it, he may even make a name for himself among the wealthy elite.

It's good!

Myself? I let the background come to me as I'm playing the character. When I first create them, I just create the "barebones"

Here's a guy that I had since Oblivion, who I still don't know his full backstory.

Granted, like always I just put a short summary in his background,

Spoiler

Name: Fife

Age: ???

Race: Altmer

"Class": Fateweaver

Apparel: Hooded monk robes.

Fighting style: Manipulates the "Strands of fate" to defeat or pacify his enemies. (Have to admit, it's harder to play this in Skyrim than it was in Oblivion due to the removal of attributes, spells, and spell making.) He will either control his enemies to fight between themselves while he walks by them, cut their life short with a flick of a wrist(poison rune).

Factions: None

CW alliance: None, but helps the Empire on occasions.

Not much is known about Fife, except that he's been around for a very long time. During the Oblivion Crises he lived in Bravil, where he taught the street urchins how to read and write, as well as several restoration spells. While never wanting to directly interfere with the wheels of fate, he joined a small group, and was one of the people that fought Dagon. Of course history books would say otherwise.

He "vanished" only appearing 200 years later, in Whiterun, having adopted an orphan by the name of Lucia, who he says has a great gift of magic.

They are both constantly seen sitting by the Gildergreen reading a book.

Yeah, I don't think the vital details are really all that vital. Choices, lifestyle, beliefs, those things always go where they want to go; even if I have a plan in mind my character refuses to follow it.
