Skyrim's Inconsistencies.

This really bugged me too, you'd think their first assumption would be "You shouted, you never told us you trained with the greybeards." Then you would explain you've never shouted before in your life and then they would be shocked and call you dragonborn. But no, they jump straight to believing you to be a legendary being of prophecy.

Spoiler
They say that because they see you absorb a dragon soul. They ask you too shout only for additional confirmation and to make Irileth see its not just some Nord fairy tail (though oddly enough she shows no reaction to your thu'um demonstration).

oblivion: wood elves = midgits
skyrim: in 200 years wood elves are now as tall as us ?? evolution on steroids

The average human height has increased since the 1800's by about a foot so this is not impossible.

just saying

I get that these are all funny and all that, but they break the game. This is just some funny little problem, it's a funny huge problem with the game, just like all the other details bethesda ignores. You are constantly taken out of the world because nothing in the game reacts realistically to your actions. Too often it doesn't react at all.

I think this is to do with the Infernal City novels. For whatever reason, Bethesda decided to make them Canon, so thats why we're stuck with so many inconsistencies

No one has seen dragons for many many years, and whatever gear left with dragon scale/bone parts in it must've been made a long time ago... but yet here comes a gal/guy that just escape execution and within weeks/months can craft a legendary quality dragonbone sets... what? O.o....

With inconsistencies like this, I like to think that he simply wasted it all on gambling and prosttutes and mead.

my contribution: you can open a lock with a metal hook and a screwdriver-like device, but mages are unable to open them with magic. But mages can do all sorts of other mind-blowing, science-breaking things that effect physical matter. Simple medieval locks cannot be simply opened with physics bending magic! YOU NEED A METAL HOOK AND A SCREWDRIVER YOU INCOMPETENT FOOL!

Well that's because dragons have just come back thanks to Alduin the son of Akatosh. So yeah, theres a lot more dragon bones and scales floating around, so i could see how it would be easy to acquire.

I'd also like to add

Does anyone else feel like there should be some other better type of armor forged from dragon parts? i mean c'mon, you kill like 4-5 dragons and u have a set of dragon armor, which isnt even the best armor for heavy armor users.

Just feels like there should be a harder armor to craft, one requiring more materials, and rarer ones from harder dragons.

I became Stormblade. Ulfric says there are still pockets of Imperial Resistance to exterminate. He unofficially tasks me with taking care of these Imperial Camps.

Go to Imperial Camp. Imperial Captain is an "Essential" NPC.

....really? :banghead:

Even worse, become the Archmage and constantly hear NPCs tell me "So you're interested in magic? You should go train at the College of Winterhold!" :unsure2:

Farengar is a [censored] though so he's probably just trolling.

It's like Bethesda consists of two teams. The first team does an awesome job with the visuals, sounds, making it look awesome and immersive. Then, a second team comes along and tries to destroy everything. The head designer of that second team is responsible for ideas like putting an epic, dragon-slaying hero in jail for stealing a tomato and stuff like that.

That second "team of disaster" was there in previous TES games too. IMO, they should have been fired by now because, clearly, they've no idea how to design consistent games.
