Two questions-

Will the combat pause when the menu is opened up?

Any word on the guards spotting your crime from the other side of Skyrim?

I stopped reading this when you said spears are out because of time constraints. You made that up, mate.

I read in the OP that shapeshifting is being considered, but I couldn't find any reference to it in any of the links. Could someone please point it out if they have seen it.

Thanks.

believe an article stated that there would be infinite dragons, if you find that article you should add that. And perhaps make a section specifically for dragons.

Also, you said that draugr are undead dragon born? An article said (I believe it was the same one) that draugr appear in large numbers and are relatively weak. That doesn't seem to make sense, unless Dragon Borns frequently went undead and in late numbers

I shall. I'm still in the process of getting everything up there. Lots of information to be had.

As for Draugr, I could have sworn I read it somewhere, or maybe I made it up in my head because they also use shouts? Either way, I'll remove that tidbit until I can confirm. Thanks for the catch.

Combat pauses when you open your "bookmarked items/abilities" and also when you open your inventory, perk trees, etc. I'll add it in.

Scroll down to the transcript if you don't want to listen to the podcast. The section in question clearly states,
4:30 Are there going to be spears in the game?

“There are not spears in the classic spear sense. I am sorry. There currently are not.”

“Something like spears is really cool, but with where we’re putting our time with the other weapons, it just didn’t make the cut.”

5:00 Are there any other kind of hints you can give us about the directions of like the types of weapons people are going to be able to play with?

“The main thing that I can say is that, they go back to, we had X weapon types in Daggerfall, then X weapon types in Morrowind, and Oblivion had its own, and Skyrim had its own. And any time there’s something that we stop doing whether that’s spears, having a skill for that, or crossbows and things like that, we tend to each time start over. And we want to find weapon types with this game that really yield gameplay. So those skills are separate.

There you go.

This is also on http://nerdtrek.com/skyrim-details/

8:40 Are you able to be a werewolf in Skyrim?

“We’re fans of that stuff as well, and we’re currently messing with all that. I don’t want to commit to, ‘here are the things you can change into and what they’re like right now.’ Not because we’re not doing it, or not attempting to. I just don’t know honestly where that’s going to end up and how deep we’re going to get into that.

We will try things, and if we don’t feel it’s helping the game, there are other areas we’d like to spend our time on in the game.”

I have yet to see anything regarding guard behavior.

Thanks for the input and such, guys.

Thanks! I always hate games that keep things going when I want to heal or look at the map.

I was surprised when I read that they are dropping birthsigns. Skyrim will feel very different without birthsigns & majors/minors. Perks will be fun, though.

? Every Skyrim city is larger than any Oblivion city

According to Google's translation of the source you referenced, that line should read:

...five cities larger than some of those in "Oblivion", all unique and with its own character and theme

Emphasis on the key words "five", and "some".

Full text from Google Translation:

Skyrim country is divided into nine different municipalities, home to five cities larger than some of those in "Oblivion", all unique and with its own character and theme, and 1:08 to 9:00 smaller villages and many scattered settlements. Around you will also come across well over 120 of the caves also mentioned - a figure that is likely to rise towards the launch.

You should add:
Racial perks to differentiate races
Multiple prisons of different types, and an improved crime system

Reference (watch the video):
http://pc.ign.com/articles/116/1164053p1.html

-credit should go to epitage for finding the vid and posting about it, and sovern for posting the link to the article about the vid-

Also, spears (and maybe crossbows) as DLC, I'm calling it (just a prediction, not official).

I think the carriage thing was the article author speculating. I can't see how a carriage would be practical in the mountains of Skyrim. They might have something more unique tho.

Check the sources for references. Todd Howard himself says in one of the podcasts and likely elsewhere that they have a carriage system.

Racial abilities should already be on there, I will add the rest. Thanks folks!

Edit: Finished with the fixes and updates. Enjoy!

No, unless your dual wielding a shield and a weapon.
