Yeah but newcomers won't know about UESP. They have the info here in one place. I will be keeping it bumped and hopefully up front. Maybe a mod will sticky it, who knows.

I'm afraid we don't pin unofficial FAQs. If something is pinned it becomes official and even if you put a huge disclaimer at the top and bottom of the post declaring that this is an unofficial FAQ and the information may be incorrect people won't see that - but they will remember that they read fact X in a pinned thread if it turns out to be incorrect down the road.

If you look at the Brink forum you can see that we have an official FAQ which is pinned and an unofficial fan FAQ which is not. The unofficial FAQ has far more information but at times has included guesses, speculation, and assumptions - some of which were later removed because they lacked sufficient support. Many people link to the unofficial FAQ and even more link to an off-site information compendium when people have questions - and this is great. But we're only going to pin something that is checked and doubled checked by the admin. The official Brink FAQ, for example, took a month to put together and it isn't very long (and before the Steam and PC spec inclusions it was even shorter!).

Threads like this serve an important purpose on the forums but they have to be kept unofficial and as such they have to be kept unpinned.

Q8. Can I see my character’s feet?
A8. Unknown at this time. Going by previous releases, it’s doubtful.

Ugh, I hope we can see our feet, every 1st person games does it now!

Perfectly understandable. I've placed a link to it in my signature for anyone who stumbles across my posts and wants to check this out, and I'm sure my many updates will serve to get it some attention. Thanks a lot for the heads up!

As for backpedaling, I shall fix it. Thanks.

i for one really hope that i will be able to block with my weapon. it seems so silly to me that i cant defend myself with a sword. hopefully if this is true, then there are perks in the 1h, 2h, staff, etc. skills to block. seems so unnatural not to be able to.

sorry for the multi-post, but this is really bothering me now <_< do we have a source on that info: no blocking with anything but a shield?

Brilliant thread. It's good to have a go-to page for new comers.

big thanks & a cookie to the OP!

now then,

? Every race has a unique set of armor

Awesome to hear, but whats the source for this? & I'd hope each race gets two unique sets (heavy & light [assuming that the heavy and light distinction is still around])

Oof, I'll have to play a little search and find to find this one for you. Give me a bit and I'll edit to add when I'm done.

I'll also look for the source on the no 1-handed weapon blocking thing. I would hope they would have the ability to parry at least with a one handed weapon. Outright blocking a warhammer with your shortsword seems silly, but it is perfectly possible to parry or divert the attack.

Ok, so I managed to find the original post about the unique racial armor and did some back-checking to find the original source and I cannot locate it. If someone can post me a source for the information, I'll add it back in, until then though, I'm removing it.

The portion about the no blocking with a 1-handed weapon came from the French magazine article. You can get an overview here: http://www.gamemunition.com/news/skyrim-more-info-that-will-blow-your-mind/

There was also a post on this forum about it with an overview.

Thanks for the praise, guys.

OMG Heehaw... Well done friend. Your work and effort is very much appreciated. Of all the threads in the forum, yours is by far the most useful and informative, bar none. Thank you.

edit: My friend, you have earned an internet prize... Couldnt think of anything, so I decided I would do a little advertising for you, as a token of my appreciation. Please continue to update this wonderful thread.

By the power vested in me by the community of Bethesda forums, I hereby declare your thread bumped.

Conspicuously absent from the information is whether or not items will stay put wherever you place them in your home. (crossing my fingers)

I would love if Martha Stewerting your house was made easier doable this time around. lol

Also, youre not the only one with "the power". As I recall, there was a particular master of the universe, that also had the power... :chaos:

Will it be a bright blue color, or a different color?

According to the sources posted, draugr are undead nords, not necessarily dragonborn. *Some* of the more powerful draugr ARE dragonborn and they can use dragonshouts.

Yes, some Draugr can use dragon shouts, while others will be "normal" undead enemies. Most likely, only Draugr bosses or semi-bosses will be dragonborns. :)
