Skyrim Information Compilation

Because the ruins could be in a general area near Markarth Side for all we know and I can't say without a doubt that it truly is Markarth Side.

Ruins? Do you see any fallen structures? It looks pretty well-kept for ruins. The screenshot would've been named after whatever location it is. Last time I checked, Markarth isn't the name of an area on the map. The area is called "The Reach." If it wasn't anywhere particular, the image would've been called "reach01.jpg"

Yeah...that's not true. I've seen many screenshots named after something and people assume that it is that certain something and find out it was only related to that certain something. I left it in speculation, it's not like I removed it altogether. I really don't see what it matter whether or not it is stated as fact or not seeing as how the screenshot is the real treat. The fact of the matter you can't say it is Markarth Side for sure and I'm not going to either. Also, they don't have to be crumbling to be ruins. They seem to be worse for wear to me.

If you haven't seen it already i did a nice compilation of new info from the Monday Hub Update, even the stuff that got removed. Might want to add it...

Okay, I added it as a copy and paste. That way there is the list for the things that I hadn't added to the compilation that didn't pertain to in-game. Thanks for compiling the info on monday's large update

Updated the thread with the info from the GI update. I'll update the thread with the EU mags info soon, I just have to do some other things right now than compiling them also, I'll probably add them later on tonight.

Your warrior can equip swords, shields, maces, axes, or two-handed weapons

No Spears? No Crossbows? No fighting Staves?

If you hold down the block button, your character will attempt to execute a bash move.

Those never work because it takes too long to perform the action.

If you're wielding the flame spell like a flame thrower, the environment will catch fire for a short while and burn anything that comes into contact with it

We get to burn things now?

We don't know yet. I was just giving a generalization of weapons, there will no doubt be a myriad of weapon choices.

That's not always true. You just have to wait to see how BGS has it to work.

We get to burn things now?

Yep, and freeze things and electrify things.

Are these ward spells like shield spells from previous games?

Edit: have they replaced the shield spells or are they separate?

I'm guessing they are the shield spells from previous games.

I would assume so. And in the sounds of Skyrim hubdate Mark Lampert talked about a "Iron Skin" spell. I imagine that will be the spell that "shields" you from physical damage.

Almost all of this information is from indirect sources. Mainly journalists and English translations of articles translated from English. I'm hoping for more direct information about the game.

From the spanish magazine (Micromania), some stuff I don't remember seeing in any place....(hope it's new):

- Traps are included in the game to use against enemies. Whatever they're environmental traps, or manufactured by you, it's not clear.
- 5 big cities and 24-25 towns.
- The UI will be divided in four (tabs?): Abilities | Map | Inventory | Magic.
- Todd Howard affirmed that the idea of creating DLC's for Skyrim is "tempting".

2 new(?) pics: a very cool frontal one of the "Nord protagonist" of all those previews, and another one showing a stone door inside a cave (a pretty odd one BTW, with many circles carved on it, can't say which architecture is it) and the character in elven(?) armor.

I don't know how much reliable is this info...the magazines of this editorial group aren't known exactly for being very trustworthy...pero es lo que hay :)

Bethesda's new editing tool is called the "Creation Kit". Whether or not it will be released to the public to mod Skyrim is unknown but seeing as how Bethesda has given us tools in the past to edit the game, I would think it wouldn't be a leap in logic to think they would for Skyrim.

It has already been officially confirmed that the Kit will be released to the public for us modders to have fun with. Might wanna change that. ^-^

Small addition (at least I didn't see it) - all 10 races as playable have been confirmed.

I missed out on the updates this week until now and when i looked for the threads on the Hub Update I coudn't find any. To be honest I didn't want to read through it all anyways just wondering if there has been any discussion as to what http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/1429/argoniano.jpg is?

A new humanoid enemy or creature or just a new look for Argonians, as we know the looks of each race are improved.

Is that map just an interpretation or is is the one you will use in-game?
