Skyrim isn't as good as i thought

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 1:41 am

Is it just me or is Skyrim not as good as I thought or hoped? I don't know what it is. they could make the Quests much longer the game is WAY TOO GLITCHY my finishing moves svck the swords just go through the body without any effort like it is just air and... Alduin was weak. really weak. maybe I just became strong fast but he was really weak. it's a dragon dragon's should be strong I can kill dragons now within 15 seconds if they landed in front of me. I could make the difficulty higher but still dragons should be strong. the prophecy says that only the dragonborn can kill dragons. my first dragon was mostly killed by guards i just did the finishing move. and the game just doesn't have that feeling anymore. that feeling of fantasy games. like I especially had with Morrowind. It's still a great game but that still. pff... I don't really need a response I just wanted to let that out. I'll probably only be criticised anyway :D

Yup, try that. I play on Master and dragon fights are 15 minutes long cause they are next to impossible to kill.

The Morrowind speedrun took something like 11 minutes. There is a LOT of content in both games aside from the main and guild quests. The one guild quest I completed (Mage's college) was pretty quick; however, there are a lot of side quests I still need to complete. I'm currently questing for new shouts and it's enjoyable.

the game is WAY TOO GLITCHY my finishing moves svck the swords just go through the body without any effort like it is just air and...

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of the 3rd person kill sequences, possibly excepting melee dragon kills.

Main quest spoiler

Thanks for spoiling. :/

Morrowind had its share of flaws. I recall being superuberoverpowered around level 12 or so. At level 36 in Skyrim (pure mage), I'm still challenged and can die to random mobs if I get caught off guard.

I love it. A tad too much fighting in the Thieves Guild, but great anyway.
One solution is stopping to hype so much and just accept that Bethesda svck at bug squishing and there are many of them in a big world game.

The role playing kids seem to have the most fun with Skyrim. It's probably not the fantasy you care about so much as the atmosphere, look below and you'll see some why Skyrim is the best.

Skyrim for me is.................................pretty much what I expected. The joinable faction quests have been shorter in parts than I've liked but overall what I expected from the things I read prior to release.

I believe the ludacrous amount of hype before the game kinda had something to do with it not being as good as some people hoped. It is the same for me but I think alot of it is due to the glitches and bugs. That being said I still have over 150hrs put into it and am still enjoying it when it plays.

This animation looks cheap. Look like an imitation copy of the DAO dragon/monster kill

It's not just you, but a lot of people will flame you and proclaim Skyrim the best game ever. Truth is it's just Oblivion-- only difference being only snow terrain anywhere, better looking faces , and much shorter questlines.

yah, scale your difficulty up.

You can't complain about the game being to easy when you haven't even tried the harder difficulties. Some games they don't make much difference, or just turn AI into super aware super accurate headshot bots.... but that's not the case here.

Master difficulty WILL kick your bum.... You should try Expert though... just a step up and should make a significant change to dragon/boss fights.

Personally I'm lovin skyrim. Fantastic RPG. Not unnecessarily complicated, great atmosphere, stunning graphics (considering the hardware), and both allows you to totally explore the vast world on your own or lets you follow the cookie trail main story quest if you want a shorter game.

Skyrim is what you make it.

So if you want a bigger challenge... make it more challenging ;)

Disagree completely pretty much exacty what I was expecting and hoping for. I knew we would lose some stuff I liked from past games but I knew we would gain much more and that's how I feel. That unmodded Skyrim is so much fun really makes me hyped for the mods we'll see a few years down the road.

As a very long-time fan of this saga, I find myself looking for things that were in previous games of the series, but the good outweigh the bad for sure. Great game.

I dont understand why so many fools reply to this quite obvious troll thread. Just set up a thread with an obvious disappointment message and you got idiots arguing over it, when you should let it die instead. But here I am replying just to get others not to.

I wouldve enjoyed Skyrim more than Fallout 3 if they left the levelling system the same as earlier Elder Scrolls.

I don't mind the difficulty, or lack thereof. I set out to break the game by coupling smithing with enchanting and that's what I did. The game is now broke on Master. Which is fine with me. Where we agree is that the glitches are ridiculous.
