I'm an amateur landscape photographer and while walking through Skyrim this has occurred to me a few times. With the PS3, screenshots are a bit difficult though. Some very nice efforts there. It makes me wonder if just something like the landscape alone (without the gameplay) and a screenshot button might be a way to train photographers in school.

Wow, I never thought of that, but its a great Idea...

It could be a full software suite or a "Game" that has really beautiful landscape (maybe even on a level greater than skyrim) and Wildlife. Full control over a camera to learn Aperture, Shutter Speed, DOF etc... I think it would be awesome!

I sure would like to see how Developers would handle the emulation of extreme shutter duration photography (like nighttime duration exposures)

Here's a site I came across that deals with the photography potential of Skyrim: http://www.reddit.com/r/SkyrimPhotography/comments/mi7bp/skyrim_photography_tips/

One of my big goals is to take stereo-pairs in Skyrim - I can't wait to see some of the halls and valleys in 3D.

Working on a new mod (its really just a robust package of BAT files with console commands) to help out aspiring Tamrielic photographers!

Give me ideas for Mod name if you can!

Thanks for the thread, satherewasting. You have a very nice collection of shots, and they are also very easy to view. :goodjob:

Also, I appreciate the mods list. So far I haven't used any mods except for the Skyrim4GB in order to get my game stable.

Here is a landscape shot I took: (It can be zoomed in on for more details - it is 3240x1920)

Very beautiful shots everyone. This is one game where I enjoy photography as much as playing the game itself! I get so carried away I forget what I was originally doing sometimes lol.
