Skyrim Legendary Edition CrashingSelf-Closing

Post » Sun Sep 01, 2013 1:49 pm

The reason I say "self closing" rather than just crashing is that no window pops up saying "Skyrim has stopped working..." or anything like that. Mid-gameplay, for no apparent reason (Happened at 3 different times. Once mid-scene while my head was on the chopping block, once on the jail-wagon while Ralof was describing Juniper-berry mead, and then once again while I was making stuff for Alvus/Alvor or whatever in Riverwood).

I have no mods installed, but it is the Legendary Edition and the HD texture pack files ARE checked in "data files"

One other problem I'm having (I didnt mind too much but if it's related to my game crashing I figured I should let you know) is that some textures are missing. The items will just be meshes. So far a dog in Riverwood has been this plain cyan-ish color, a steel shield, and the front half of guard shields in Whiterun (you can see the back of the shields facing them, but the outside is just that cyan square with a black circle)

Help? :o

Reverify files through Steam, delete your ini's so that they can be done new. Uncheck the res packs, install Unofficial Patches, run BOSS, clean DLC's with TES5Edit, create Bashed Patch with Wrye Bash. Start new game and you are good to go.

What are your PC specs?
