skyrim level up system

Hello everyone! I have something in my mind bothering me about the "level up" system. When I played Oblivion, I had to constantly go to sleep to level up and therefore, averting me from healing freely. Also, when you leveld up, you had to contribute points to your stats from training that stats skills, and the more you train those skills, the more points you contribute to your stats (maximum of 5 points per level). Because of that situation, I went to sleep only 3 times with my character, because I wanted to make the best from the stat and went to sleep only when i thought i will gain 5 points (which, evetually, turned out to be only 3 and 2 points in all the 3 times). So what im asking is how will the level up system work in skyrim? will it work the same as it was in oblivion? and i have been told that every time you level up you contribute 10 points to 3 stats: mgicka, health and stanima. is it true? if it is true, can you split the amount of points you get between the 3 stats? hope you will answer me! :)

No, you will not need to sleep, And the level system is different + you can choose when to use perk points. Attributes are gone so that removes the 5 points to this blah blah. Don't worry. They fixed oblivions huge error.
