Skyrim logo in Oblivion

Post » Sun Aug 29, 2010 11:44 am

Has anyone noticed that the symbol for Skyrim is on the doors around the imperial city? Not sure which doors exactly, but I did notice one near the door to the Waterfront.

Anyone else find anything else?

The main Skyrim logo isn't actually a Skyrim logo lore-wise,meaning it isn't something like a symbol to symbolise the province of Skyrim.
The Dragon Symbol you refer is the symbol of Akatosh, and it's founded in the Imperial City because Akatosh is the protector of the empire.
Morrowind also had the same symbol.

I think that this symbol was chosen to be the main Skyrim logo for feeding up the mystery and hype.
You know, there is a mystery since most people believe that Alduin (the main enemy in Skyrim) is Akatosh (the main protector of the Empire).
Bethesda want to play with our minds! :shocking:

Exactly it is right on the front of the game box of Morrowind. Which I am holding in my hand.

Isn't it just the symbol of the empire? Ergo, it should be everywhere?

Ah I see now. Thought it was an easter egg or quick reference. Not too familiar Lore wise lol.
Thanks for the info.

Yep, I was just playing Morrowind and I saw that symbol on the tapestries in the hall of wisdom in Vivec.

I thought that was pretty cool. I don't know why it ended up in the sacred place of the Tribunal though. I never thought Almsivi was on friendly terms with either Akavir or Akatosh.

It's the Seal of Akatosh, it's been in every game. You can see it on the sails of the ships in the Redguard opening, it's on the box cover of Morrowind, it's on the doors in Oblivion as you mentioned and so on.

It's because they are part of the empire, so they will display the Septim Empire's symbol.

Well, its the symbol of the empire, and more or less of the TES series as a whole.
