Skyrim as long or longer then obilvion?

Post » Wed Aug 17, 2011 10:07 pm

I already pre bought the game and I was watching some demo gameplay, They said over 300 hours of gameplay.
I played the hell out of the firsrt and one and did all there is to do, So I'll be pretty busy for a long while right? I don't like want to finish everything in like 2 days.

Tho since it ain't no where near being out yet, I guess all my questions are pretty meaningless at point huh?

"It is by far the biggest, craziest game we ever done, even though the world size is similiar to Oblivion the game has significantly more content!"

The first one?... Arena was the first Elder Scrolls game, friend. I'll assume you mean the fourth one*, Oblivion? Either way, yes. It will be physically impossible to complete Skyrim within two days time.

If what they have been saying is any indication you'll certainly be putting in about 300 hours to complete everything in a single playthrough. If you are like me, and you make multiple characters, you are looking at around a thousand hours of gameplay. That's what I spent in Morrowind and Oblivion. I plan on doing the same in Skyrim.

*Not counting Battlespire and Redguard since they are unnumbered offshoots.

24*2=48 (assuming you stay awake for 48 hours straight)
300-48=252 (yay, I know maths!)

300 isn't even the exact number of gameplay hours anymore. I bet it's near 400 or 500. So...yeah.

I know maths! :teehee:

Thats what makes this game so good, it has way more play value then most other games, if you don't like it then go back to playing your 6 hour shooters.

So good story telling has no place? I want the complete opposite.

Haha thank you lions...

AND YOU CAN DO MATHS! :D Haha seriously though, this game is going to be amazing. 300 hours?! Holy crap! Haha and that was like not even them done with all the quests! They even said the main quest was gonna be something ridiculous like 50 hours. Thats some complex and deep [censored] man.

They said around 30 hours for the main quest and AT LEAST 300 hours of gameplay. They "stopped" counting. I'm assuming that means there is around 400 or more hours.

EDIT: It's said to be their biggest, craziest game yet. So...you can, as is common with these games, expect to have no social life after you buy the game.

Ofcourse we'll get content worth the money we pay with, compared to other publishers, we get a lot more for our money. (not counting multiplayer games)

main story is said to take 3 days to complete ,that means ignoring guild and side quests ,so its safe to say skyrim will last longer than oblivion
