The only things that I agree with in your list of new material, are numbers: 1, 2, 6, 9, and 12. But I wouldn't agree that they were all for the better.

It's not just about the game, it's the whole way CD Projekt handle their business. They're one of the few developers willing to state that DRM svcks, it doesn't work and all it serves to do is irritate our legitimate customers. They've made a point that even if they do release TW2 for consoles that the PC still is, and always will be their lead platform. I have so much respect for these guys.

Edit: on topic I agree Skyrim should win, and I am also a Zelda fan. The reason is Elder Scrolls games are diffrent every time. Sure they follow a set formula but they tend to be set in a different location, new main quest, new everything. + the amount of content for a game is just incredible.

I like Zelda, its a great game series, but I just prefer Skyrim purely for freedom, epicness and more gritty/ realistic feel.

We've hardly any new books in Skyrim. A small handful maybe. 90% of the book are the ones from Morrowind, 5% are from the again lackluster book expansion in Oblivion and the ready are the piddly new Skyrim books.

No point of making these threads anymore, most of the true nords of skyrim are to busy playing the game then all you get is these god damned elder trolls you see. and wanabe adventurer's who took an arrow to the knee....

Witcher 2 would be my worst RPG this year if DA2 wouldn't exist (like we all wish), it was pretty yes, but UI was consolified even when it was a PC game, bad combat, and it was just dull. Its far from great RPG games like Fallout 1&2, Gothic 1&2, and ofc daggerfall and morrowind. I'm not saying that it is the worst game ever, i just didn't like it so it is enough to prove you wrong.

There are also a lot of people who have ONLY played Skyrim and are voting for it. These user voting competitions are so flawed and pointless anyway. The only way that these would have any sort of credibility is if everyone voting played both games from beginning to end which I can guarantee you isn't going to be the case 50% of the time. I can't believe how many people can't see the glaring flaws in these voting competitions that makes them nothing more than a measure of how many fans a game has instead of over all quality of the product. The fact that Witcher 2 didn't even get much attention also proves it's just a console fap fest.

Skyrim is still better than most of the other games that have been released this year, but in terms of an elderscrolls game, it's miserable.

I've played the ES games since Daggerfall starting on a DX2-66 PC running Windows 3.11 but if Skyrim gets voted GOTY then the whole idea of a GOTY award is cheapened beyond belief.

Yes it looks pretty and will be even better if the shader is improved for the consoles but it is living more on the heritage of the series than on it's own merits given the number of bugs the game has.

If it was worth it, I'd vote for it but it isn't so I won't and to blindly say "It's the best game blows everything else away etc etc" is nuts.

Good games don't grind to a halt with memory leaks, CTD, lock consoles forcing multiple resets and Skyrim is the most problematic game I have in my collection.

The PC version will be made more playable by the community as has happened in the past but the consoles will be reliant on the developer support, oh dear.

If Bethesda correct the ps3 experience then I will.
I really don't care of Zelda, but my vote will probably go to them.
