I also agree with what the one guy said about voting for TLOZ as a series.

It is very possible that people are voting for SS just because it's a Zelda game, and they haven't even played it.

Either way, I'm not voting since I don't have SS.

Just like it's very possible people are voting for Skyrim based on the TES franchise instead of judging Skyrim as a stand-alone game. Both sides are guilty of being irrational =P

I'd say a lot of voters for all of the matchups have been turned off by the fact that you have to sign up.

Make it like Spike's where you just visit the page and vote.

Personally, I haven't had any bug problems and really enjoyed Skyrim. The whole "enchanting/smithing breaking the game thing" is all up to your personal willpower (or idea of "fun"), to either play through the game only smithing and enchanting normally, or cave in and exploit the system. Sure, the system isn't ideal, but I don't think it deserves as much flak as people are giving it. I wish I had a wii to play SS on, but as of now I only have a PC .

The thing is Zelda is more of a Franchise than TES, just as a new Mario game would get a lot of GOTY awards just for being Mario. No one would dare to release a Super Smash Bros nowadays because It's a dairly repetitive and outdated system, and yet It would get lots of praise. It's something that's characteristic of nintendo, nothing else.

As much as I love the Zelda games, there's really nothing new about them, it's the same basic story structure and gameplay coupled with my happy memories of playing it years ago.
People there are voting for the Zelda games as a series, instead of voting for the game only. The reason their voting for the series as a whole is because of the stark similarities between every single game.

Same can be said for TES.

The fact that Zelda is neck and neck with Skyrim is somewhat impressive considering its only on 1 platform compared to Skyrim's 3.

I enjoy having fun in Skyrim, however the writing is lacking, some of this stands out in the books with grammatical errors, it as though they've used fan fiction and not bothered to proof read it.
The Skyrim world is fun, but not deep, it's essentially become a play ground rather than a meaningful story.
