I don't actually care, but I will say Skyward Sword is easily as good as Skyrim. If you haven't played both games, don't vote.

Same can be said for TES.

Not really, for most people on the forums they acknowledge each game as substantially different. This is why so many complain, because every next game is different to a point that some feel it's no longer Elder Scrolls. I mean have you seen the amount of threads that are churned out daily, complaining "this isn't elder scrolls" and "why isn't this game exactly the same as it's predecessor?" While for Zelda every single game is definitely a Zelda game. The formula sells, so they're not going to radically change it anytime soon. It's because of this that I say they vote for the series, because all the games in the series are extremely similar and logically lead into one another.

The fact that Zelda is neck and neck with Skyrim is somewhat impressive considering its only on 1 platform compared to Skyrim's 3.

I enjoy having fun in Skyrim, however the writing is lacking, some of this stands out in the books with grammatical errors, it as though they've used fan fiction and not bothered to proof read it.

SKyrim Was VERY Deep...Its the lore that makes it SUCH A good Game......Zeldas Black and white story and chararcters just makes me HATE The series!

Trust me I Played Mejoras mask Hated it. Played Twilight princess, Hated it And It Felt the Same! Its a bad series, Terrieble Charcters, Awfull story telling, Everything is Black and white.....Its bad

Could of been GOTY 2012 if they waited and released it in playable condition for all 3 platforms. Definitely not GOTY as of now though, heck their last patch made it worse.

Whether you like those doesn't matter. If that's all you've played then you are very inexperienced with the Zelda series, which has undergone much greater changes over time than TES series has.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.Now I can go vote for Zelda because I really don't think a train wreck (A fun train wreck mind you) like Skyrim deserves any sort of game of the year recognition.If it had been released with minimal bugs and it wasn't so easy to completely break the game (I'm looking at you enchanting/smithing) without even trying it *might* be worthy of a GOTY title.As it is though? No, not a long shot imo. Consumers need to stop sending the message to game companies that it's okay to release a game way before it should have been released.

Skyrim should lose, it's not the best game of 2011.

I hope Zelda wins just to upset all the jumped up overhyped little fan kiddies the series gained with oblivion.

I would be fine with Skyrim losing to Skyward Sword. The Legend of Zelda series has always been a solid, mainstream game put out by a great company. If any game could beat Skyrim fairly, it would be a Legend of Zelda game.
