Skyrim Losing to Zelda Skyward sword in Duel!

The only reason we're losing is because the bad patch hit at the worst time.

Ew, Zelda. :yuck: Sad world we live in, really.

Hmm, before Skyrim came, Ocarina of Time was my favorite game. It makes me think you've never played a Zelda game before...

It's the same reason GI gave it a 10/10.

Nostalgia.

Every single time ANYBODY plays a Zelda game, if they've played Ocarina of Time, they'll be kicked in the head with nostalgia and give the new Zelda game a perfect score.

As a complete Zelda fan-boy I can say this is pretty true for me, it all just comes flooding back.

Who the hell matters who wins? It is totally pointless and I personally dont care, this "match" is a LOL for me. I dont played this version of zelda (I dont play zelda since I was 12, on N64 ).
But I saw the trailer ... go hell. Compare that with skyrim ? a god dam childish-looking game against a full RPG ? Someone said over there "better puzzles" ... go to hell too, If I want a puzzle that way I will go to play some facebook game. And It give me nostalgia too, also my teddy bear give me nostalgia, that doesnt mean I keep sleeping with my teddy bear still.
You can say me what you whant, that Im a troll, or WATHEVER I dont care this comparison is bullsh*t .

I registered just to vote and now skyrim is beating SKYWARD SWORD

People seem to be voting just for the entire series

its not zelda, its the one single game.

Skyrim is better then that one game.

Yeah..Nostalgia is a scary thing.

A childish RPG that's pretty much the same every time, on one console. VS a multiplatform, 300+ hour moddable RPG with insane amounts of hype.

Zelda is a much better game. Quality is one of the strong points Nintendo games have. I don't have to play many hours into it, to find a broken quest line or something bizarre happening during gameplay. I know with Zelda I can play it and not have any problems and focus on playing a good game then worrying about bugs and graphical glitches and waiting for patches to fix things in the game. Not my idea of wanting to get involved with a game. I love the TES series, but there a mess on release days, and patches have to be waited on for the game that was just purchased. Bethesda always seems to release games riddled with bugs and other problems.

The fact that Zelda is only on one platform and Skyrim is on three and that Zelda is winning, proves a lot. Even if Zelda loses, it went up against a game with a much broader audience and gave it a run for it's money.

The contest is pointless anyways though.

Zelda sold 600,000 worldwide its first week while Skyrim sold 7 million so obviously there are way more people who actually played Skyrim and presumably liked it as opposed to Zelda. I think it just proves that more Zelda fans are more concerned with having the letters G, O, T, and Y branded on there game as it will make it sooooo much better :P

a fellow poster summed up this contest quite accurately.

he called it LOLtastic. and i couldnt agree more. the fact that ocarina of time version 4 even has a chance should tell you exactly how seriously to take G4's GOTY.

Go play Mario Bros on family game, its complexity is superior to this Zelda games, and Im sure there will be no "broken quest" .... lol.
This kind of opinions are totally ridiculous, mean no offence thoug.

Bugs and glitches happen when you have a game with as much content crammed into it as Skyrim, on as many platforms.

Considering Zelda is almost entirely linear, with next to no open-world exploration, and is only on one platform, it is OBVIOUSLY going to have fewer bugs. That's just common sense.

The true power of Zelda is that it wields nostalgia like a warhammer. TES relies on a massive amount of content. As a consequence, it takes longer to make them, they're buggier, and it costs Bethesda more to make them.

Edit: That said, I did enjoy Twilight Princess. It was generally pretty fun, and had some good boss fights. But it, and any other Zelda game, will never be in the league of TES.

I hope it loses. Zelda is a better game.

It is. A much better game, but it's also quite a bit shorter and more focused. The reason Skyrim isn't as good as it could be is because it tries to do everything and doesn't excel at anything in particular.
