Skyrim Mod In Pre-Production

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 4:20 am

My Name is http://digitalenvi.com/ and I have been working professionally in the video game industry for over 11 years. I have a Modding Team that we call http://theatomiccafe.net/ and we are always being asked "How can you possibly be creating a mod when the game hasn't even come out yet?"
Because one thing that I have learned in my many years of working and in teaching college in and for the video game industry, you have to have a significant amount of time to do post production. This includes concept art, story, dialog...etc.
http://dovahzaan.com/ (Dragon Shout). Is a game mod by http://theatomiccafe.net/ that is currently in pre-production.
The ATOMIC Cafe is a team of 30 (give or take) video game professionals that include artists, designers, sound engineers, writers and professional voice actors that are dedicated to making Great Mods for Great games.
We have people on the team that have worked and or are working, in the video game industry for such companies as Blizzard Entertainment, Double Helix Games, id Software, inXile Entertainment, LucasArts, EA Games, Activision. BUT, we are also dedicated Elder Scrolls fans that are combining our talents and experience in the video game industry to make a major add-on quest to TESV: SKYRIM based on the Lore of The Elder Scrolls.

You can see our Teaser Trailer for our Mod on YouTube at the link below.

Your website says Evening Star (December) 2012. I'm assuming that's the mod's release date?

We are hoping....As of now, our storyline is running at about 15 to 20 hours of new gameplay....So we'll see about that release date :foodndrink:

Yeah it would be a good idea to tell us what your actual specific plans are for the mod if you're looking to attract modders, just saying that they're going to be 'Great Mods' isn't going to convince many people. :P

Trailer looks silly. But the mod has potential.

Yes, I dont doubt it will be a great and well-made mod, but if you could provide us with some more details it'd be appreciated. Plot? Some features? Current ideas? Anything :)

Seeing some of the guys in the team have worked at Blizzard, I don't expect to hear much more than "Soon?" before the mod is done.

Just kidding, can't wait to see what you guys can come up with :D

You're saying they should wait to start creating their mod after the game releases? What's the point in that? I think it's a very good idea to start before the game releases so that they can get as much post-production as possible.

They have their own storyline, so why not start now?

Pretty impressive, seems like you guys could just make your own game though, why not?

Will definitely keep eye on your mod!

Also, is there more info on it? What is the story, etc? The trailer doesn't really give any info, and I didn't see any information on the website. Thanks :)
