Regardless of the approach, I commend anyone for trying to bring the lost (read: cut) elements from Morrowind to the Skyrim game. I haven't played Skyrim, myself, but I have been disappointed by aspects I've read about and testimonials from those who have. My particular concern is the lack of fleshed out guilds and faction quest lines.
UglyIgloo, if you feel as if you are getting a degree of resistance to your mod, it may be because of the language you have used to describe your process. Your audience here is people who have been modding Morrowind with the TESCS for upwards of five or more years. Someone coming in and stating the intention of learning it in a day is at best over-ambitious and at worst, an arrogant slap in the face. You have done the equivalent of walking into a mechanic's shop and declaring you can build a Rolls Royce from spare parts in a week. Depending upon how seriously you are taken, you may be laughed at, or you may walk back out with a black eye. In any case, you are much less likely to get any assistance in the future.
I apologize for making it look as if I'm trying to render experienced. When I said it was pretty easy to learn, I meant that I got used to it pretty fast. There are still plenty of things that I don't get. If this mod turns out to be a failure, I will learn from the experience. I'm not going to be one of those people who convince themselves that they can make a game just by snapping their fingers. I have figured out most things that don't require coding. As for coding, I can understand it by looking at it, but I still need to look at a list of functions to write from scratch. I'm not feeling put-down by everyone's criticism, if anything, it makes me more glad that their helping me.
I thank you for agreeing with the intention of the mod, though. I think Skyrim was kind of disappointing; It rewarded exploration, but not patience. In Morrowind, dying annoyed me, but in Skyrim, I sometimes do it on purpose! And Skyrim has a very strong lack of spells. I still recommend you get it, though. Exploring is really fun, and the side quests keep you occupied.
