Well um smells like trolling. But some of that stuff in your list is fair and others are not.

Isn't rocket science

Morrowind
===========
1. Old
2. Terrible sense of direction
3. Old
4. The leveling system 5 times then pick a stat to level and was easy to gimp yourself that carried onto Oblivion was weird
5. It's old

Skyrim
===========
1. Small towns that are supposedly cities
2. The leveling system is even worse, who cares how high you get your skill levels you can't use half of them
3. 70 voice actors with probably less than 70 lines
4. Landscaping could've been more better
5. Dragons are new... that's about it

Morrowind:
Terrible textures
Terrible animations
Bad magic effects
No real mountains
No snow or any dynamic weather effects
No dynamic speed tree technology
LOTS of identical looking external towns and villages (same textures, etc)
No dynamic traps
Dungeons are static with lots of reused textures and conventions

Year 2002. Average gaming PC was some Pentium3 celeron, 64 MB ram and Geforce2 card.

Few quests

About 400(without expansions)

No built-in house ownership

You can't buy a house, but you can get it by different means.

Small world

Main story-line is pretty boring and can be super short if desired
Some location markers appear on map after talking to NPCs which can't be disabled
Boring quests

As opposed to Skyrim?

Linear quests

Compared to what exactly? Other TES games? Seriously? For a lot of quests, you had different choices, in Skyrim you have one option almost all the time.

Everything else I agree with but this... what do you mean by this. Morrowind came down to 2 choices with quests, don't do or do. Skyrim is a lot better in this aspect but still sort of lacking.

So you're saying that Skyrim's graphics are better? That's what I thought.

About 400(without expansions)

Skyrim: Infinite (just a little more than 400 if you needed to know)

You can't buy a house, but you can get it by different means.

That svcks. Skyrim wins.

Morrowind: 7 sq miles. Skyrim: Around 16. Skyrim wins.

Still waiting for a good counter argument...

If you're going to list "no Marriage" as a negative of Morrowind, then the inability for me to marry a goat is just as negative.

Skyrim has good animations, but there's no mastvrbation animations. That's a negative.

Bad magic effects.
Compared to Skyrim.

Hard to take you serious after that one.

You can't do either in Morrowind. What's your point?

At least we have marriage in Skyrim. That's +1 over Morrowind.

You want someone to counter your opinion? Because what you are listing are mostly preferences and isn't at all unbiased.

without mods, skyrim is by far better then morrowind.
that said, i would really love a remake o morrowind to go through everything

the worst parts of morrowind for me though were the crap brown everything and the NPCs not doing anything all day.. oh and i had to read everything, needed voice acting.

This thread is on a steady downward trend, with a number of minor flames and some inappropriate content. I think it's time for a lock.
