Yap, he′s the man!
I′m particularly fond of the "dragonslayer" track, it has an awesome beat and makes chest hair grow.

I agree. I like the music, especially some of the town tracks, very much. Unfortunately, my game has a bug that seems to stall the playing of any music quite commonly and it's very irritating. I just want to listen to the music :banghead:

Some of the music is rather soothing and others exciting, but I tend to listen to Amon Amarth instead.

The soundtrack seems tempting. It's my favorite part of the game.

The soundtrack is great. But I cannot stand the choir... Seriously, "in your face" epic stuff offends me, I like a bit of subtlety in my music.

My only complaint as far as the music goes, is that there was not a unique composition for the final main quest battle.

Fully agree OP, Jeremy Soule is amazing. And you think Skyrim is good? Play Oblivion (if you haven't). His best stuff by a mile, never heard more atmospheric or moving music in a game. After playing Oblivion I actually got the urge to buy the soundtrack, which no game had ever made me do. I actually hope a mod comes out to play Oblivion music in Skyrim, or I'll cave and find a way myself.

The soundtrack ranges from either okay (the mostly ambient background music) to annoying (the main theme and the music that plays during some dragon battles). I can't remember any tracks that really stood out as good to me, but the main theme of both this game and Oblivion I just can't stand. It sounds so much like the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

It's wonderful, it really is. Though I can't help but wonder if Oblivion had slighty more tracks for exploration/atmosphere.

I still listen to Oblivion's songs all the time; so peaceful. Atmosphere 6, 7 and 9 and out of this world. Mr Soule works wonders.

Yes Skyrim's music is undeniable in its greatness. I have not heard such a emotion triggering immersive fantasy soundtrack since Tes 2 Daggerfall. The music fits in so perfectly with the world of Skyrim its like oxygen keeping one alive. Very epic yet supernaturally subtle as if it was the natural ambience of Tamriel's atmosphere. I have yet to entertain the thought to put any outside music from movie soundtracks into Skyrim that is how flawless the music is for me. I cant believe how fantastic Skyrim is on so many levels.

Hail Jeremy Soule! Creating the emotional nectar of Immortals for us fortunate humans.

That particular track is called "Watch the Skies".

It sounds so much like the Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

Blame the composer for Pirates then. The TES theme from Morrowind (which is rearranged in IV and V) came first.

Oh absolutely. Oblivion is one of my favorite games of all time, and the music is so memorable and epic. I think Jeremy Soule had better music in Oblivion, but Skyrim is damn good, too. Morrowind's music was fantastic too, but sounded far too epic and dramatic at times when there was nothing going on in the game, which gave it an odd feel. But it's not even a complaint =P

Skyrim's soundtrack + Jeremy's signature is one of the few things I'd ever want to own that's signed, haha.

The slower main dragonborn song was enough for me.. woulda been nice for something with different wording but the music made sovengard for me.

Just wish they would hurry up and release it on itunes =[
