Sent Pete Hines a quick tweet to check. Hopefully he'll clear it up for us. I agree it sounds beautiful, but given how much they were stressing a move into drums and rugged sounds... I'm not sure. Then again, they must have some slower tunes in there, and it is an amazing tune.

Nic! Thank you for that.

I realy hope that's not a fake!!

There probably won't be any drums all the time in the soundtracks.

Indeed, the game can have a wide variety of different types of music to fit the different moods it would produce, and it's not like we've heard a large amount of music from the game, in fact, I only recall hearing two seperate songs from it, the theme song, and that ambient piece that was played in one of the videos. I hardly think we can say what does or does not fit in with the style of the music in the game based on what we've heard so far.

This track sounds like the sort of thing I could see being in the game, though, but is it really from the game? I don't know, I guess we'll see, if it is, I'm guessing it plays in the wilderness, with the tranquility of it.

Very nice music, though it's sometimes based a bit too much on LotR and could feel more unique.

Pete hasn't replied to the tweet yet.

Yup, no reply, but he's still been tweeting other things. Either it's so clearly fake that he doesn't even think it deserves a response... or it really was leaked and they're trying to ignore it until they officially release some music in an update.

Don't hold out for a reply though, I don't think it's coming.

Well the question was asked 17 hours. He's only tweeted once since then and that was 18 hours ago. So it's not like he's been tweeting a lot since then.

Yep, I'm sure we are in the same case as Guild Wars 2: The thief had been leaked too soon...

Not sure, in markarth, there's a mountain where some isolated people are meditating, listening to the wind to know dragon's language: thu'um.

So it can fit the story

That happens in High Hrothgar, not in Markath. They are quite far.

I thought I was hearing Fallout 3's Soundtrack for the first 10 seconds, and then at 1.03... Halo: Reach.

Nice stuff. Would be great to see some official response about it.

Yes! They had annonced a big surprise at the PAX --> The Thief .
But this one had been leaked befor. Indeed, Anet had prepared videos and pictures about this new class, they gave the informations to media but they didn't had the permission to reveal it... "Sadly" one site leaked it

An entire game getting leaked is a little different than a 2 minute music piece.

The transition from 1:06 to 1:20 simply screams Jeremy Soule to me.Especially how the Viola and Cello subsides at 1:08 while the flutes and brighter strings still 'hang'.

-I am 80% sure it's Soule
-If it is, it's not an old track from another project
-afaik, his only project is Skyrim atm (although we can assume he's finished that now)

and

-If this is fake, I'll eat my winter coat.
