Skyrim - Night to Remember (Bug?)

I am trying to get the 15 Daedric artifacts for the oblivion walker achievement so i speak to Sam Guevenne and he wants to play a drinking game so i play the game then he just sits back down and it wont start the quest a Night to Remember ! im 100 hours + in and dont want to start again for one achievement ... has anyone else come across this problem or know a fix ?

I can only say that I"ve done it twice. Once while sitting in the chair next to him and the other standing up right behind him while he's sitting down at the table to the right directly after entering the bar. Both times I did NOT have a companion.

Just trying to help with known working conditions!

As the above poster said, companions completely ruin this game. I've played with, and without them, and with them, glitches are twice as hard, twice as game-breaking and all around worse.

Travel on your own, the game will crash and burn less frequently. Some quests worked for me when I didn't have a companion, but when I did, the quests wouldn't trigger/finish ect.

its prob cuz ya exited diaologue by accident. re load and try again.
