If Oblivion could get GOTY and be the total worthless piece of crap that it was, but Skyrim doesn't, then that's proof to me that all notions of GOTY are meaningless and should be ignored....

Dude, they are meaningless. Any game that is half popular will likely get at least a couple GOTY awards. It's just a dumb popularity contest. Skyrim will win plenty of awards despite all the problems PS3 users are dealing with, so that just proves my point. Buggy games don't deserve awards.

Oblivion was awesome, though maybe because it was my first Elder Scrolls game, but still.

How so? There are many and likely more people out there not having problems with the game and are genuinely enjoying it. Think about it, just like in the news all the murders raqes and fires get reported while the majority of the good things go unnoticed.

Game is GOTY definately for me. (: I love it.

Bugs? I play on PC and haven't seen one. Well aside from a chicken falling under the floor when I killed it. xD But I haven't seen anything game breaking at all. And I play VERY often.

So yeah... :3 GOTY all the way.

Yeah, no idea how Skyrim could lose to Skyward Sword. Yeah, because a game that can be completely finished in a day or two, has no real options about how to play it, is completely predictable in every way, has terrible and cheesy voice acting, and absolutely no replay value is a really good game. *facepalm*

Skyrim would still deserve game of the year even if there were any other good games released this year. It's the best pc game ever made, that's for sure, and definitely the best rpg. I didn't like when it crashed every 10 minutes but that improved a lot.

Sorry but GOTY should go to a game that has minimal bugs and actually works on all platforms. Skyrim doesn't do all that so it should not win GOTY if it wasn't in as bad a shape as it's in I would give it GOTY hands down.

If I could actually play it, I'd consider it for GOTY. As I can't, I'd have to say there are plenty of other choices. Portal 2, Arkham City, Uncharted 3, and Skyward Sword all in my mind, deserve it more than this broken game.

I dont care if the game gets GOTY or not... I only care that I like the game . Dont really bothers me that some of these people dont like it, some of them liked the zelda game... that is enough said isn it ?
But I will be glad it Skyrim gets GOTY , just for see you more , and more mad. Very funny.
