Skyrim not formatted right for me

Post » Thu Apr 11, 2013 9:21 am

I've played Skyrim on 3 different T.V.s and it always cuts off the messages/notifications in the top left corner.

It's hard to tell if I got a bounty for something or if I got the Lover's comfort perk bonus or not.

Pretty annoying.

No matter what size the T.V. is it still cuts it off.

I have a CRT so I know what you are talking about. My friend plays Skyrim on as HD flat panel wide screen and doesn't have this problem. I think the solution is to migrate from CRTs to HD widescreens. I've become remarkably good at reading the little, tiny, truncated messages...

Getting the Aspect Ratio correct is a setting on your console/TV. The game works just fine on my parent's 360 consoles (they have two of them).

This is what I meant. I sometimes have to use the aspect button.

As others have suggested, if you have a HDTV, your TV will have a menu with options for ratios/sizing/placement of the displayed image.
Mine fits everything very nicely, with room to spare.

Non-HD TV's will never display the entire image.
