I've played TES since Daggerfall, and countless other great RPGs, I still like Skyrim a lot, and will play it a lot. I don't think it's comparable to a piece of a bread.
You clearly missed the point. I never compare Skyrim as bread nor fish and meat.
It's just when you first experience something new you'll usually be amazed by it. Like once I went to Toys R Us and saw a kid's parent pointing to a FIFAxx game on PS3 saying how "real" the players are and how great the graphics is.
But everyone who have played their share of games, especially on PC, know the graphics in FIFA is just fine, but not great.
For many players new to the elder scrolls series or even RPGs many things in Skyrim may seem unbelievable to them. I once heard a friend saying how amazing that one can stripe all the equipments of dead foes. But anyone who has played more than one TES game would probably not surprised by that.
When you experience more, your standard will also rise. Of course for some Skyrim is still great. But it is UNDERSTANABLE(contrary to OP's idea of cannont understanding) that many others will find the game not so amazing.
Kids in Africa find having meat in the meal amazing.
Many kids in USA probably not so. But of course there will still be a lot kids in USA who find the meal great.
