Skyrim open world horror.

When I heard the name Bethesda and Mikami in the same breath,I thought cool also when I saw the first concept of the project zwei as it was called at moment it felt like larger world very open I thought awsome.

A horror game with a really open world.

We got a horror similar to Resident Evil 4,which I thought also was cool even think it was somewhat better then RE4 even.

I also realised that I had things wrong regarding this game.

Bethesda was not much involved it the whole creation in The Evil Within more of a producer/publisher role perhaps.

Yet I still believe that if Bethesda and Mikami decide to really cooperate again.

I think Mikami touch of horror and Bethesda open worlds could really become a atmospheric creation.

I know fans that rebuilt The Resident evil mansion of the first game into Skyrim and did a really good job in creating a horror style mansion and dungeons.

I hope Bethesda and Mikami one day could create such a game.

Would you guys like such a game?

Sounds like you did get confused between Bethesda Softworks (The Publisher) and Bethesda Game Studios (The Developer)

I'm not to big of a fan of horror games. But I have to say if Bethesda made an open world survival/horror game I may very well buy it. The open world setting adds a lot to the horror aspect of the game, you never know where the threats may come from and as you find yourself in the middle of the open you tend to panic as you hear a creature lurking around you. Knowing only that you could be attacked from any side not knowing when or exactly where it will strike. That would lead to an amazing horror experience and if done well I might just shell out the cash to buy it. Really in my opinion Bethesda has not made a game that I wouldn't buy or that I have bought and didn't like. So I always expect and get good things from them.

I don't play a lot of video games, as I'm very particular in my tastes. I think Skyrim is the only open world I have played. I love the variety and amount of gameplay open world games offer. I still play Skyrim often, because I still haven't finished some of the main quests, because there is so much to do and I get sidetracked. I'd love a horror style open world. It would be good if it had the same sort of skills system as Skyrim, so you could choose the way your character would be played (stealth, fighter etc) and build the skills that you personally wanted.

Welcome to the forums. I actually really like your suggestion and would definitely be interested in buying and playing such a game.

Horror, open world, got my vote. Dying Lights gonna be like that though, Dead island is more comedy, do what you want have a laugh, Dying Light is more survial, first person, pooping your pants type of game lol. but with the aw-some -ness of a game like Skyrim, with a mix of TEW that would be sweet, be hard though for quests, wouldn't want to do repeated types, like Save so and so, raid this place for so and so item.. its a good idea but it could go down the boring, lose the horror aspect.. It would be really hard to get the balance

I like games that don't have too much action. Last Of Us had a good balance, I think, and games like Tomb Raider Legend and Underworld. I don't like games that you are constantly fighting enemies every few seconds of the game. I like them to be more "adventure" than "action". Dying Light looks like it's going to be more of a parkour action game. I'm just not very good at combat, so the less combat there is, the better for me.

No, I haven't. My son keeps telling me to buy it, but I'm not a huge fan of first person games, although I'm starting to get a bit better at it now I've been playing Alien Isolation. I'm usually okay until I have to run, then I just have no coordination in first person and my kids think it's hilarious because I'll be running from something and crashing into walls or getting myself stuck in a corner lol. Is Dead Island more stealth or am I likely to end up with 30 zombies running after me?

Indeed when I thought of Bethesda I ofocourse thought of the developers that made Elder Scrolls thus I also thought of they being more involved in The evil within production etc..

My bad wich I also realise..But those two Betheshda and Mikami making a game together is still something I hope for in the future.

Could be interesting.

Yeah has my eyes on those two already :D
But while dead Island was indeed a open world horror it was not much one could do as say Skyrim.I imagine Bethesda and Mikami would be more in the way of Skyrim a little more freedom within the open world, more horrid envoirments too explore and guess one could do more in general.
Or atleast I would hope that.
