Skyrim Party on first night

Post » Sun Sep 25, 2011 11:38 pm

Any of you playing Skyrim on multiple tv's/screens with some buddies on opening night with drinks and food? Or are you choosing to play by yourself to avoid any distractions?

My cousins plan to do that, but they live on the other side of the Rocky Mountains; I will not be able to join them, unfortunately.

I will be a loner on release day.

I'm having a one-man party by my lonesome. I'll just talk about it with my pals later. :tops:

Nope. Playing with people around would ruin the experience for this kind of game.

I'm going to get it in the morning, play for as long as possible by myself, then get ready for my cousins wedding. :)

Nope. I even got my Wife and Kids at Grandmas for the weekend.

She was like "You want me at Mom's all weekend....but but"

I was like "FUS RO DAH"

She said, "Fine...Nerd"

I have to agree. There are some things you need to do alone, and Skyrim is just one of those things.

Yes. My friends and I planned this on one of the last days of school last year. Him, some of his friends and I will be playing Skyrim together. Hopefully we will manage to harmonize the Themes upon game startup. :celebration:

I cannot possibly see how a Party would detract form the experience.

By myself, so I'm not distracted and I can absorb every bit of story/dialogue/information.

I think so too, I can play it at a buddies house on a small tv, which has its pros.

Or I can sit at home and play on my 57 inch hdtv, which has its pros..

Autumn Barbeque organised for release weekend, slabs of sizzling meat with many bottles of great German beer to swill. Once recovered from mighty hangover, I shall attempt to play Skyrim.

I'm going to be in a Party Chat over Xbox Live with 5 or 6 of my friends. We're going to talk and gush about the game, and rail on and on about the world as we explore its secrets, and let each other know where we find the coolest things.

It'll be a blast!

Thats a great idea, a mix of both. I didn't think of that!

Its a game catering to the solo experience. I always feel like a [censored] when my friends come over and I'm seriously lacking on the multiplayer games and all I'll want to play is Skyrim (I'll be getting Battlefield 3 and that's it for this year in multiplayer, for me at least). :tops:

I've been friends with this guy for 7 years. We met in 6th grade when we had class together. Our friendship began with these words, "Have you heard of the game, 'The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind?' "

Needless to say, we will be at the midnight release together. He called off a LARP thing he was going to do for it. And we're gonna have two tvs and two xboxes in one room all night long. Hopefully some Little Caesar's pizza and Coca-Cola. I don't like either of them at all unless it's for an all-night game-a-thon.

Win :D

I'm not much of a party person myself. If I party, it'll be while playing Skyrim.. alone.

Anyone plan on getting drunk and playing? Could be fun, could definitely turn into a nightmare if you get too drunk.

No thanks, I'd rather keep my wits about me. Besides, if you're snockered how will you enjoy the fantastical world of Skyrim? :tops:
