You decide to head towards the small town of Riverwood, the stomping ground of all Skyrimian adventurers. As you travel through the mountains, you can't help but appreciate the beauty of the world. I mean, look at that flower! And those mountains over there, look at those! You feel a burning desire to walk to the top of those mountains and - wait, what's that?

Leave the ass you were hauling as bait and hide under that beautiful flower! Surely the dragons will be too perplexed by its polygons to notice you!

You leave the bait out and hide under the beautiful flower. Better it than you!

You will never forget that sweet ass.

Still, it looks like the dragons have moved on without noticing you in the slightest. Lucky you, it sems. You are now free to continue towards Riverwood.

Time to take a bath in the river and rid yourself of the fleas collected in prison!

There is absolutely no way you can be seen in town so messy and flea-rodden, so you take a nice cool bath in the river. It feels so nice to just relax in the water and only reluctantly do you finally get around to licking yourself clean. You feel pristine and refreshed afterward!

You make it to Riverwood, yet you find that everybody is staring at you in a most peculiar manner. You have no idea what could be wrong. Is it Something with your hair? Nords sure are strange...

A small boy approaches you and hands you an amulet, apparently under the impression that it belongs to you.

... you/we/she forgot to get dressed after the bath.

Well, you can't wear your prison clothes because they're nasty and would get us dirty again after the bath :yuck: , and the stolen guard uniform would probably raise too much suspicion. And no money to buy new clothes...

Looks like we'll be adventuring in our birthday suit for a while. Unless we can get clothes from somewhere else.

You ask the old lady about the amulet. She mentions that she hasn't seen one like it since her younger days, when she was in love with a young man named Favio. She rambles on for a half hour or so about her life and edventures with Favio before apparently forgetting what she was talking about and asking if you want a bowl of milk.

She also offers to scratch behind your ears.

Accept the milk and scratch behind the ears whilst trying not to purr too much, a nice scratch is always lovely.

Wear the amulet. It's not like you have anything else.

Hey!, wearing just an amulet seemed to be enough in Morrowind to maintain public decency!

You accept the old lady's gifts, failing miserably in your attempts to keep from purring. It just feels so good! You also wear the amulet to cover up this Nord notion of "Nakedness." Once again, such a strange folk.

Once this pleasant turn of events runs its course, explore Riverwood and find a way to establish it as a temporary launching point for your new Adventuring career.

The pleasant turn of events takes about an hour. Afterwards you wander around looking for an abandoned shack to move into. You manage to find a rather nice place. You wonder why there is nobody living here already. You also find some clothes laying around that you happen to fit into. Sweet.

Ignore the clothes. Or sell them. They won't protect you in battle.

Since lodging seems to be taken care of for now, scout out shops: particularly weapon/armorsmiths, pawn shops, and general stores. Also, find an inn, in case you lose your new home, need transient lodging, or just want company.

Assess magical aptitudes... we know at least one spell, right?

One at a time, please :P

-----------------------------------------------

You resist an impulse to remove your clothing. Recent experience has shown that it is very cold in Skyrim, and you would like to use your clothes to keep warm. However, you feel it couldn't hurt to brighten the place up a bit. A little color here, a couch there, some nice wall hangings... Time to use the most powerful spell in your arsenal; THE INTERIOR DECORATING SPELL!

You aren't a very good mage. And now you hear a strange noise from above.

STAND YOUR GROUND AND FIGHT!

The dead cannot stand before the onslaught of life! Draw your claws and evicerate the ghost! I can go into detail about why the natural attacks of a living creature can affect seemingly-intangible beings (It involves the soul/spirit of the person occupying the entire body)

So... Evicerate it and loot the ectoplasma.

When I get two contradictory commands, I'll go with whichever one I got first... Sorry Scow :P

You run screaming into the street like a frightened kitten, fleeing from the ghost. A familiar face stops you.
