Skyrim Playlist

Post » Mon Oct 04, 2010 7:13 pm

So the first few weeks of Skyrim i will be enjoying the soundtrack that the devs put into the game but soon enough i will get bored of hearing the same thing over and over again.... Similar to Oblivion, it had amazing music but it just simply got old... I want to create a playlist on my Ipod with just music that captures the feeling of Skyrim... Music like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnIx_kmuuUw&feature=related... I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or what about the music you guys will be listening too

I still listen to the Oblivion soundtrack a lot on my ipod. Doesn't get old in my opinion.

If you get bored of the soundtrack, you could always just mute the music completely and play your own in the background while you're playing the game.

Are you serious right now? You just described the scene it's from in the movie Ravenous. I'm blown away...

Honestly, the music never gets old for me, that's the beauty of Jeremy Soules composing, something about his music never gets old.

I can't ever listen to other music when I am playing a game. It distracts me, and my skill level goes down pretty low. I have tried. The only game I can play any other music on is fighting games like Tekken, Soul Calibur and super smash bros.

Oh its not that I cant listen to it anymore its just that Idk i need a huge playlist when it comes to music... None of my playlists on my Ipod have less than 60 songs on them. And i just turn the music volume down and the sound effects and voices up to add my own soundtrack so i can still enjoy dialog and such

I think my Ipod has under 60 songs on it, total. :P I usually just listen to the radio, or find it on youtube.

Not exactly like the song you posted, but still, Bathory made some incredible viking stuff that I'll have to try playing once on it. It's epic, majestic and all...

It's a cult classic from '99. Not too many people know about it but hell yeah, whenever I bring it up I have to mention the soundtrack because it's so amazing.

You sir, have great taste in music. :hehe:

Here are some of the songs/bands I normally listen to when playing a roam-around game. Mostly insturmental only, or with vocals that flow well with the music.

And So I Watched You From Afar:

Set Guitars to Kill- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRD8z4cTjTM
If It Ain't Broke...Break It- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-SfKRcVqXg
Gang(Starting Never Stopping)- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0fZRo0AU7Y
--
MaybeSheWill:

This Time Last Year- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htvkhpyn0T0
Sing The Word Hope In Four Part Harmony- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQiok80yRdU
--
Moving Mountians:
Sol Solis- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nejeC5MPl_o&feature=fvst
We Will Bury Ourselves- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_HBrye8ZgI&feature=fvst

Maybe you'll find something good to listen to with one of these bands.

Wow... I loved the first two, definitely something i can imagine a scene for... Then i dont think that the MaybeSheWill songs fit the theme im looking for but non the less amazing songs... Then Moving Mountians had a feel to it that i really liked... Like walking through rolling hills at night looking up at the stars and just taking in the sheer beauty of the landscape... Wow yeah... Still though that Ravenous soundtrack is my favorite
