I'm not interested in ingame (cheat) items of any kind.

me neither but i do admit it would be nice, what if there was like a decently hard quest to get it and you need to beat the main quest or something.

I rather have TF2 items than exclusive cheat items.

I do intend to preorder the game, but I don't think games should include preorder bonuses.

The only additional things should be in the collectors edition and these should only be real world items, people shouldn't get unique or special items in game for buying different versions or preordering.

Nothing like Bioware did with DA2 (overload the game with day one DLC), at best I would want New Vegas style pre-order bonuses, nothing spectacular, but something to start the game of with.

A real life item would be cool. An ingame item would be pretty pointless, since a talented modder would just replicate (and improve) the item.

Id love a preorder special summons or staff or robe. But I would like it if every preorder bonus pack had some stuff for mage warrior and rogue in it.. a nice bow and a cloak.. some nifty armor and shield.

Nothing uber just nice like the new vegas stuff was.

What I would like is a briast plate with the word "svcka!" written on it for all those people that really put any weight on pre-order bonuses. I meant most pre-order bonuses I have ever seen, have to be honest, svcked. That said, Fallout New Vegas's premium box was nice. all the casino chips and deck of cards, oh and the comic book. That is something worthwhile, a quick in-game bonus that actually does not really have that much novelty, I'd skip on that one thanks.

Knowing that I pre-ordered from Gamestop, most likely there will be some sort of bonus content.
I have no idea what though.

I would like to have games that actually work - skip the trinkets and do testing of the game. I don't pre-order games now that the developers do the "ship to hit the deadline and patch later" mode of game development.

A poster or map would be pretty cool, something physical would be good because unless its something in-game that I will always use like a house or good horse then theres no point. Say if its a shield that is good for 5 levels then I find a better one, whats the point

Tod und Vernichtung! (Death and destruction)

In other words: Pre-order bonuses are nothing but capitalistic attempts at making simple minds buy games when their prices are still ridiculously high.

Once again in other words: I don't give a crap.

This is a pretty biased poll, since as a generalization, anyone actively on game forums seven months before the game is supposed to release is much more likely to pre-order.

However, pre-order bonuses are becoming the norm for PC games, and I'm sort of expecting it. If not, I don't really care.

Im assuming you mean the Skyrim special edition? If not, Im sure Gamestop/ amazon/ etc... Will have pre-order bonus items, "only if you preorder their copy" or something, So yes, Im sure that both the regular, Collectors Edition, whatever will come with bonus items. Though, the regular one will most likely just be some nice downloadable thing, and the collectors edition probably a DLC (either same as regular, different or both...), a physical item (multiple or singular) and some different cover art. But since I didnt really know what to vote for, I just voted for the one that I assumed it wasn't (the regular edition) and I voted yes on all of them, as I already explained earlier (on the first one I voted for the third one, because that is what it most likely would be).

If anyone else said something like this, okay, and if it angers anyone by me saying this, I apologize for it...

Only collectors editions should have some bonus stuff with them and not pre-ordered copies.
Also, collectors editions should not have any in-game extras like a special items, quests and stuff like Fable 3 did.
That's just mean to players who spend their money on the game and still don't get full content (if I'm not able to get all that extra stuff in PC version of Fable 3, I'll just download a pirate version since I can't get a full game for my money).
Collectors edition should only contain stuff like map of Skyrim, coin from Skyrim and other stuff like that, nothing in-game.
Extra in-game content should be available via DLC or expansion sets.

Edit:
Is there any info on collectors edition for Skyrim btw?

One thing about the trinkets tho is it shouldn't have anything to do with the testing of the game as the people that design the trinkets should not be the testers or programmers, at most some of the game designers might be involved in it, but that should not effect the testing... still yeah, a working game would be nice...

It seems like every new game coming out now has " pre order exclusive items" for most major stores (Wal mart, best buy, gamestop, and amazon).

To me, I HATE these because it feel slilke you are " missing" out on items (since you logically can't get them all, unless you wanna buy the game multiple times...).

when I buy the guy, I want the FULL GAME, nothing cut out, nothing missing, the complete and full game is all I want for what I pay for, is that too much to ask?

Mafia II, it felt likle they BUTCHERED the hell out of the game for pre order things, taking away over 10+ outfits, and cars, along with the ability to customize your cars. All of this was strippe dfrom the game so stores had exclusive crap for pre orders. It left people who bought the game from Steam, etc with a very BARE minimum feeling, that really turned me off from the game.

The upcoming LA Noire is doing ithe same crap, but even further they are having exclusive MISSIONS taken out for pre order exclusives, so you'll miss out on entire story-arcs.

I really hope with Skyrim beth simply has a Normal/collecltors edition of the game and the CE comes with PHSYICAL items, a nice map, figurine/statue and thigns like that. Where anyone who actually buys teh game gets the same thing as someone else.

Knowing Bethesda's formula for hype generation I have no doubt they'll have pre-order goodies. It'll more than likely be something out-of-game for the sake of collectibleness.

If yes, buy.

I am one of those that think if there is to be some sort of pre order bonus, at least the ingame kind, they should not differ depending on where you pre order at as it does with most titles these days.
Though I am not obsessive compulsive I get annoyed to think that there are things I am not able to obtain because I had to chose one location to pre order from, and if I get annoyed what will the poor souls who have OCD feel?
Now I don't claim by any means to be knowledgeable about mental disorders at all and might have stated the wrong one and someone else will most likely correct me if I am wrong but meh, you get my point, though I might just be one of very few that feel like this.
