Do you think sales for Skyrim will be badly affected, with ME3 coming out just 2 days before?

ME3 is a different genre game.... And no, it won't effect much. Even though ME3 comes out pretty much same time, a month later is Christmas and people will bbe buying the game then

Considering ME1 and 2 were both bland pieces of [censored] that were less fun than watch paint dry, I can't see it being a problem.

I think that a lot of people will just buy both. There aren't enough good RPG's to be picky.

The way Bethesda effectively markets their games it should sell well.

Uh.. slightly, but they'r e both RPGs, and therefore have a lot of overlap.

I think both games will do well but they also may both be hurt by eachother a bit.

There is no RPG like TES. There is no RPG that is close to what TES does and the wide open world and race choices that TES has. Two separate games and neither will affect the sales of the other.

I'll get both, but I probably won't get ME3 until after I've played Skyrim - simply because I can't see myself starting any other new game that close to the Skyrim release, I won't be able to concentrate on it.

Having said that, it depends on the UK release dates for each. If it transpires that there's a week or longer gap between the games being released I should be able to fit in ME3 before Skyrim hits the shelves.

The new CoD will most likely get a release date in November too.

CoD always go for dates like that, but ALL of the CoD games are the same basically now.

That doesn't change the fact that all of those blind idiots will buy the new one again unfortunately.

I've played both ME games, Dragon Age, Morrowind, and Oblviion. For me, TES is the better of the series and thus Skyrim will be what I purchase if I have to choose.

I imagine they'll both be on Steam so it may come down to pricing and "incentives". Regardless, though, for me TES is clearly a better caliber of RPG than Mass Effect.

Why such strong emotions? I understand this is the internet and all but I'm not sure if I like being called a blind idiot that likes to watch paint dry.

Even with the competition, I expect Skyrim to have the highest sales of any Bethesda game to date. Their games also tend to have legs. I wouldn't be surprised to see 7 million+ units sold.

ME 1 was excellent. I plan to play it again soon.

ME 2 was a bland, ten a penny cover shooter which I quickly got bored of.

I think Mass Effect 3 should get out of the way before it gets bulldozed by a bunch of Nords.
