Skyrim sequel bethesda biggest mistake.

Post » Tue Apr 01, 2014 4:58 pm

I really think one of beths biggest mistakes was not makeing a true sequel to skyrim. How many of the fans would have loved to see a one or possible co-op game instead of a multi-player epic failure model as a sequel.I feel they truly didn't listen to the fan ,but their own wallet as a inspiration to a true sequel.I was wondering how many fans would have loved to see another one player expereince come to consoles? What do you guys think?

we will see another single-player Elder Scrolls Game, likely in 3-4 years from now..

I place my bet on "Elder Scrolls VI: Valenwood"...

but as for a "Skyrim 2", Heck no!

1. TES games aren't proper sequels.
2. ESO isn't made by Bethesda.
3. multiplayer and Co-op is crap.

Well by skyrim 2. I just ment another single player game or possible co-op instead of full on internet multi-player game.

as long as ESO isn't like Guild Wars which forces you to take followers or other people in order to complete the game then I am fine with it being online. While I loved Guild Wars I never finished the expansions due to the fact I couldn't solo it. I'm not much of a group outing kinda guy.

which will happen, it will just take awhile..

Bethesda takes their time Compared to most devs, with several years inbetween each release

they aren't one of these devs releasing the same product every year just to make a quick buck..

Skyrim was good enough, they don't need to make another game.

1. TES aren't sequels.

2. ESO isn't even TES or made by Bethesda. It is made to go along side it.

I love CoD. This is not CoD. I play this because I want to play something other than CoD.

That said I did download an AK47 mod, so my opinion on this is probably moot.

I agree

The "sequel" you're thinking about doesn't exist, I kinda get the feeling you have no idea about other games besides Skyrim in the TES series and implore you go take a look ;p. and if you're wanting MP in any form? play ESO it might not be exactly what you want, but its close enough without compromising the longevity of what makes the next TES games Great.

Bethesda just published ESO, they didn't make it.

They are still going to be making single player games. After Skyrim they would be rather stupid not to. Personal feelings only; I'm kind of disappointed that they're probably working on the next Fallout game. FO world might be fun, but it isn't my favorite.

I wouldn't want to see a co-op game; Bethesda's games are single player games. They shouldn't change that. None of the games are direct sequels to the one before it. Not all the story lines are finished, not everything is set in stone for the next story. About the only thing that stays the same is that your character starts off in prison.

Absolutely. I also look forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 and Dishonored Part 2, but it's not necessarily Dishonored 2. It's only part 2 of the first one.

I expect there will be a sequel, in the form of Elder Scrolls VI. It will differ from Skyrim the way Skyrim differed from Oblivion. Hopefully, it will take us to another province of Tamriel, like Elsweyr or Summerset.

In fairness to the OP, he meant he wants another single-player like Skyrim rather than full-on multiplayer like ESO. He's not arguing for cannons or power-ups or any of that balls.

Cannons and Power-ups already exist lol we TES players that make potions and enchantments can't say a damn thing about power-ups when we do it many times at one point or another in the TES series :D.

that said, succumb to the (PREVAILING) mentality of the worst thinking like the OP has to offer (not necessarily the OP) (My opinion) and what next would be around the corner HMM?

nothing about this post is serious, jest is fully intended.

Thank you.

In the meantime, while we all wait for the next TES, how about you buy and try Morrowind and Oblivion, or download and try Daggerfall? (It's free)

After all, this is the fifth game in the series, and there were four before it. One of them is now 20 years old!
