Well, I've been seeing all these great posts that suggest that Skyrim should have guns, and cannons, and primitive rockets and bombs. I completely agree! Alchemists could make nitroglycerin and gunpowder, sneaks could use flashbombs to blind their opponents, warriors could be saboteurs and use fire to their advantage. Afterall, not everyone can be a mage and fire explosions from their fingertips!
^ [censored] that noise. Stop threads that even have mention of the things listed above. This isn't Assassin's Creed. This isn't Thief. This isn't CoD. This. Is. Skyrim. And yes, I realize that even saying any of this is hypocritical.
Now for the real post:
The Elder Scrolls caught my attention with Morrowind. I've loved all the interaction that the game offered; the sidequests, the guilds, the freedom, the combat, even the smaller details. Personally, Oblivion was my favorite in the series. Sure, it's plot and story were a little 'meh,' but the overall gameplay (for me) was fantastic. I have not played through very much of Morrowind, because I was distracted from that when I got Oblivion from Walmart in 2009, and never got back to Morrowind - so my opinion on the series is a little biast.
Cyrodiil was practically my playground, and I loved all of the small things about it. Arrows sticking into bodies, the dialogue, being able to pick up/steal everything, the ragdoll physics (though the falling speed of bodies was a bit off). The game had room for lots of change and growth and improvement (*Cough* Combat *Cough*), but so does everything else, and I trust that Bethesda will do right with Skyrim.
This is just general discussion of what you want(ed)/liked/disliked about Oblivion, and what you want/like (so far)/dislike (so far) about Skyrim.
I know there's (probably) lots of threads like this, but I started my own so that it was much easier to see people posts that -I- was interested in, rather than doing lots of thread jumping.
Discuss.
I like the idea of cannons, but guns, No x99999999999999 times
