You have seniority, they should close the other one. :) I don't know how that works so..anyways.

But back on topic, I wonder if we will be able to get a free shirt if we upload our own personal speed runs and mail them to Bethesda. Providing, its faster than this one. :) Cause uh...that's isn't fast really. :whisper:

lol seriously how did that make sense?

Anyways on topic, it's a speedrun..

Oblivion and Morrowind can be finishd within 15 (10 actually i think) minutes at level 1.. calm down everyone..

On topic:

I am happy with 2:15 for a speed-run.

Translate that into 'actually playing' is probably a minimum 15 hours MQ.

woo, more "wtf 2 hours????" even though that is longer than Fallout 3 and Oblivion
I am quite pleased with the results, even though a certain post on the final page of the last thread was incredibly dumb about the subject (surprisingly more so than a bunch of the posts that didn't understand a speed run at first.

Looking forward to a seemingly long Main Quest

EDIT: Also, they did say glitching & cheating weren't used right? (jw I thought it did but there were a bunch of posts saying that they glitched it)

Yes, and that was one of the key problems with those games (moreso Oblivion). I think it was Pete Hines who said in an interview that the level scaling in Skyrim was supposed to be fixed.

I won't even be doing the main quest for the first 100 hours of gameplay myself, so I think I'll be ok.

@gigan
Its clearly obvious you have no clue as to what you are talking about and your argument is paper thin and ill tell you why:

You are assuming you have any idea how hard dragons will be at level 4. You have no clue how hard it was. It could have been so hard one player died after trying his best and failing resulting in the save revert we heard about.

I'm sure it will considering it was universally hated by everyone. Haha.

I dont know, but just let it slide I guess

Lets move on, now :)

OT: Some are saying they glitched their way through the run but doesnt that count as "cheating" since that is one of the rules?

Do we even know for sure that Dragons (and I mean the big dragons Todd fights in the demo) appear at the lower levels?

I'm just going to take the positive that it took 2 hours to do a speedrun :obliviongate:

If it took these guys about twice as long to complete the skyrim speedtest compared to oblivion and fo3, does that equate to the main quest being approximately twice as long?

I hope so.

I'm not going to jump to any conclusions -- the content of the speedrun is too unknown to make any final judgements.

I'm just saying, as someone who hated Oblivion's level scaling, knowing someone beat the game at level 4 is worrisome to me. That's all.

Yo dude! What's up with all the pie? and the speed runs? and the fact that both speed runners chose high elfs? and those flying mudcrabs? :P

.... ok not the mudcrabs but I still don't get why they both chose High Elfs. Prob something to do with their mana regeneration.

Well, seeing as I doubt they use glitches and things like that in a speedrun, it's a good guess that it will be longer. Good stuff !
