Skyrim suddenly gets cancelled One day before release

Why on earth would a game be cancelled a day before release?

For one it's already in stores at that point, it's just not on the shelves.

Honestly, if Skyrim got canceled one day before release (or really got canceled at all), I won't be on the forums. I ain't gonna deal with people going crazy for a company that just canceled one of most looked forward to games.

Go on, you know you want to.
I'd take great delight in making the fury increase, by using reason, common sense and maturity.
It would be both the right thing to do, and make me feel better over the personal loss of only having played the pre release game test version of Skyrim while wearing the official not for general sale T Shirt.

trick question. you couldn't react because the cancellation of the game would result in a rip of the time-space continuum and we'd all be toast anyway.

They wouldn't cancel the game out of nowhere on the day before release... They might push back the release, in which case I won't care. I won't even notice, I'll be too busy learning crap in basic training xD

Very unlikely. An un-business oriented move isn't unheard of though. In the 1990s there was a cartoon called the SWAT Kats. It was the most successful cartoon show of its time, but the company randomly decided that it was too violent (characters would actually die) and they didn't want to associate their cartoon brand with it.

Considering how many violent games are under the Zenimax and Bethesda umbrella... that's not happening.
