V.A.T.S in skyrim

To make it setting appropriate, you'd have to call it something like "Combat Options... Umm, Like, Dunno... Rolling... Or... Nomming Stuff!"

Huh, no, VATs is a target assist technology integrated into the pipboy which would make it seriously out of place in an ancient Nordic society, but I'm not opposed to a little auto aim.

I wouldn't like it, Fallout had it because it makes similar to the Turn-based originals, Elder Scrolls has always been rather real-time in terms of combat so... It wouldn't fit.
+1
Also in Fallout3 it makes sense with all the ranged weapons. I never found it good for melee (and I wouldn't want it for bows).

No. V.A.T.S. is already included in a partial form by those slow motion execution kills, that either are triggered in 1st or 3rd person. I don't need no TB in my Elder Scrolls, that would diminish the fun. Fallout 3/NV needed it because the actual shooting was poor as .... due the engine.

I don't think it would fit into the Elder Scrolls style of world and play, so I wouldn't want it. I do enjoy the two Fallout games available on PS3, but VATS is one of those features I tend to mostly ignore or forget about even there. Occasionally I will make use of it with really powerful foes that can kill you easily or poison you or if there are many ranged opponents involved, but in general play I don't bother with it.

A VATS system in Skyrim would be absurdly out of place. However, it would be optional, so I wouldn't care much if were in.

Locational damage would be nice, but no V.A.T.S. it doesnt belong in TES.

I hate agreeing with everyone, but no, I wouldn't think VATS is appropriate in TES.

However, a spell/skill to increase your speed to the point that your opponents seem to be standing still might work (a.k.a. bullet time) but it would have to be very tightly controlled to keep it from unbalancing the game.

Perhaps a mod?

There's already a dragon shout that does this, and it's kept from being overpowered by the cooldown times.

No, definitely wouldn't work for skyrim. Vats is supposed to be some sort of function of your pip boy anyway. I do happen to like vats for fallout though.

No, I play Fallout and I'm fine with VATS there and not in TES. I'd like the two franchises to keep some differences. Some similarities are fine but not the same play in different settings...I don't want that. They'll both stay fresher if they're different from each other.
